It's in the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere, a short stroll from shops, cafes and welcoming pubs like the Hole in t'Wall, with beautiful views of the lake and famous fells. How about space? There's room for six people to sleep in three spacious bedrooms with three bathrooms, a huge kitchen/diner, a rooftop terrace, two parking spaces, and a boathouse for storage. As for comfort, every room has been carefully furnished with high-quality items to ensure your stay is blissfully relaxing. There's even an outdoor hot tub to soak under the stars. Everything excellent about the Lake District National Park is practically on the doorstep when you stay in Bowness. You can walk from town to famous beauty spots like Orrest Head and lesser-known but equally picturesque places, including Brant Fell, Cockshott Point and Ferry Nab, Wansfell Pike and Ambleside. England's highest Peak, Scafell Pike, is 12 miles from Bowness, and the Dales Way is easily accessible. Regular boat trips run from Bowness to Ambleside, Brockhole, and Lakeside, each with sights and attractions like the Lakeside Aquarium, Haverthwaite Railway, and Go Ape high ropes course and mountain bike trails in Grizedale Forest. Hire a boat, canoe or SUP, or find a quiet spot for a swim and a picnic.
Other Lake District attractions to enjoy are National Trust Hill Top in Far Sawrey, where Beatrix Potter lived and created her beloved characters, Blackwell Arts and Crafts House, the Lakeland Motor Museum, Dove Cottage, Wray Castle, and Lakeland Wildlife Oasis. Visitors to Bank Chambers love it for its proximity to boat hire and other amenities and its parking spaces which are invaluable in the summer months when lots of holidaymakers create a lively atmosphere in the town.
