About Ferry View Cottage

Ferry View Cottage sleeps up to four guests and is a pretty stone two bedroom Lakeland holiday cottage, which is located near the southern tip of Bowness on Windermere. The cottage is superbly appointed in a peaceful countryside position, yet conveniently under a fifteen minute walk from Bowness Bay and the heart of the village with its excellent amenities.

Bowness on Windermere is situated within the Lake District National Park. It is Cumbria's most popular village where people come to relax in the delightful setting or enjoy sailing and water sports on the lake. There are numerous attractions and places of interest and holiday makers will be spoilt for choice when choosing how to fill their days.

There are cruises on the lake which can either be used as a means of getting from one attraction to another, or as a delightful way to relax whilst discovering the views and charms of the banks of the lake.

This area also offers many enjoyable walks that are connected to the cruises network and the village offers a good choice of restaurants and cafe's, shops, the Beatrix Potter Attraction, a small theatre and a cinema.

Accommodation and facilities:

  • Available for renting all year round, this delightful retreat has eco friendly electric radiators and also a Gas 'log effect' stove which provides a cosy environment at the flick of a switch and makes a nice focal point to the sitting area where there is a television, DVD and CD player.
  • Fitted well equipped kitchen giving a lovely country feel with a built-in oven (fan assisted), ceramic electric hob, dishwasher, fridge (which has an ice box), washing machine and microwave.
  • Two bedrooms (one double and one twin) with plenty of space, both having good size wardrobes/cupboard/drawer space, dressing tables and televisions. Duvets and bed linen of the highest quality provided.

Additional information: Dogs are welcome. There is parking at the front of the cottage. Prices include electricity, Gas and bed linen. Short breaks available - please enquire with the owner. Changeover days are normally from a Saturday during peak season and flexible outside of this time - please speak to the owner if you require an alternative day.
