Forest Field is situated within an unspoilt, picturesque, peaceful Lakeland countryside position of the Rusland Valley, South of the Lake District and provides the perfect self-catering retreat for couples who want to explore this beautiful area.
The holiday cottage makes the perfect place from which to explore the many attractions of the Lake District. For those who enjoy walking, there are miles of footpaths and ancient tracks to explore or you can take a leisurely drive through beautiful countryside along the quiet lanes. Alternatively you can simply relax in the pretty wild gardens (see photos below) or take a picnic down to the summerhouse and look across the pond - the surrounding countryside is simply stunning.
Within easy reach are popular attractions such as Grizedale Forest, Hawkshead, Lake Windermere (ten minute drive) and Lake Coniston (ten minute drive - see last photo on bottom row), making this delightful holiday cottage a perfect base to explore the Lake District.
Closeby is the pretty market town of Ulverston (only six miles away) and further afield are the Yorkshire Dales and the Northern Lakes with Keswick at their very heart.
Locally there are a number of very good eating establishments and the 'local' can be found just a mile walk across the fields.
