The self-catering holiday cottage has been lovingly converted on a cider farm from an original building on Meare Court Farm in Wrantage near Taunton. Visit England has given The Barn 4-Star Gold status in recognition of the high standard of accommodation that includes space for six guests in three luxurious bedrooms and a private patio with an outdoor hot tub and BBQ area. Guests can enjoy countryside walks to country pubs across the fields, at Hatch Beauchamp and The Canal Inn, Wrantage for lunch or dinner.
Taunton is a lively town that offers plenty for families looking for a fun and varied holiday. There are lovely parks like Vivary Park, where children can enjoy the play areas while adults relax by the flower gardens or take a leisurely stroll. If you're feeling more adventurous, the nearby Somerset Museum provides a fascinating look into local history, while the Tenpin Taunton bowling alley and Flip Out trampoline park are perfect for some family-friendly entertainment. The town is also home to great shops and cafés, ideal for grabbing a bite after a day of exploring.
