Kitty sleeps up to four people with room for a cot and has everything couples, families or friends could wish for in a self-catering cottage in Somerset. The pretty barn conversion is on the family-run Webbington Farm in the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), with plentiful walking and cycling opportunities.
Webbington Farm is near Axbridge on the western side of the Mendips. It's next to Crook Peak, a favourite local walk where your efforts to reach the top are rewarded with panoramic views of rural Somerset and the Bristol Channel. If you keep walking over the hill to the other side, you'll arrive at Cross Plain. Migrating birds gather every spring and autumn on the heath, and skylarks and stonechats thrive all year round. You might see some wild Exmoor ponies before reaching the oak and sweet chestnut trees that mark the boundary of King's Wood, an ancient woodland dating back to at least 1600 and probably earlier. There's no nicer way to work up an appetite for a hearty lunch or slap-up afternoon tea than with a long walk in the fresh country air.
Local attractions include Cheddar Gorge, Wells Cathedral, Glastonbury's tor and abbey, Haynes Motor Museum, Bruton, Frome and the Fleet Air Arm Museum. The cottage is only a short drive from Brean Sands, Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare, giving you lots of choice for a day at the seaside. There are good road links nearby, making it easy to get to Bristol (Bristol Airport is just 15-minutes), Bath, Stonehenge and Longleat. Closer to home, guests staying at Kitty can also book to use the spa facilities at the nearby Webbington Hotel & Spa around a five-minute walk from the cottage.
Kitty is one of four superb holiday properties on the farm that are self-contained but can sleep up to 30 guests when booked together. The venue is perfect for family reunions, celebrating a milestone birthday or other special occasion, corporate team building events or residential workshops. When booked as a whole, onsite amenities for large groups include a party room with a bar, hot tub, games room and children's playground. The owners are keen to ensure their guests have an amazing time and can help organise extras like golf day packages, canoeing, cider brewery tours, hairdressers, and catering. Kitty is a beautiful barn conversion that is finished and furnished to a high standard throughout. Accommodation is over two levels.

Outside: There is a courtyard with an outdoor table, chairs and parasol outside the front door. Guests have shared use of the enclosed gardens, games room and children's play area. There is ample off-street parking.
Additional Information: The cottage is centrally heated and all utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are provided. Guests to provide towels for use at the beach if they are required. A cot (no bedding) is available on request. Short breaks are possible outside of peak season (2-night minimum stay except 3-nights in Summer/Easter/Christmas). All cottages have a radio/alarm clock/iPod. Webbington Hotel and Spa is within strolling distance where you can book to use the indoor leisure facilities (including a pool, sauna, steam room and gym) and tennis courts. Farm tours available. Smoking and pets are not permitted.
