A pet friendly 4 Star holiday home just ten minutes away from Audlem village where you can enjoy lovely canal walks and sample the tasty cakes at one of the many tearooms or enjoy a drink sitting by the canal at the Shroppy Fly pub which serves lovely food.  Guests staying at Oakwood have countryside walks straight from the front door which includes the 20 minute walk on a hardstanding footpath to the Olde Jack Inn -  an ideal self-catering rental to relax and unwind.  We are also lucky to have a community owned pub on our doorstep which has  been voted the countrys best pub , this can be walked to across the fields or a 5 minute drive.   Brown Moss Nature Reserve with woodland walks  is a beautiful place to stroll round and near to this we have a 200 acre estate with no livestock and so perfect for walking your dogs.  The bustling old market town of Whitchurch which is the oldest town in the country has fine dining including Docket 33 and the italian restaurant Enzo`s.  The town has beautiful Tudor buildings and is renowned for its production of the Joyce clocks and its canalside walks.Chester and Shrewsbury are close by as well as Ellesmere with its scenic lakes. Chester Zoo and the Grosvenor Museum are worth a visit as well as a lovely stroll around the Chester Roman Gardens. We have quite a few places to visit on rainy days such as Dagfields Craft and Antique Centre and the Secret Bunker plus Bridgemere Garden World with its splendid gardens.  The Dorothy Clive and Trentham gardens are this side of Staffordshire and well worth a visit or have a look at the Wedgewood museum and then go across to the JCB factory for a very interesting tour.
