Emma's Dairy is a pretty, pet-friendly cottage at Alkington Grange Barns. Up to five guests can sleep comfortably in three bedrooms, enjoying certified 4-Star accommodation and excellent onsite amenities that range from a heated indoor swimming pool, toddler play area and multi sports court, BBQ's, Bike store and other great facilities. Surrounded by countryside this is a perfect location for a family get away.
Alkington Grange Barns is located rural Shropshire, but is surrounded by excellent local attractions, all within a short drive away from your cottage. Enjoy a day at Chester Zoo, Bewilderwood, have fun at The Crocky Trail, experience the wonderful Park Hall Farm, enjoy one of 200 ice creams at the Cheshire Ice Cream Farm, take your dog for a great adventure at Hawkstone Follies or relax at the Alderford Aqua Park! So much to do right on your doorstep!!
Your cottage is also only a couple of miles from the charming market town of Whitchurch where there is a wide choice of amenities that include five supermarkets and a variety of artisan shops, cafes, pubs & restaurants. There is a regular market every Friday and a special Farmers Market in the Bullring on the first Saturday of the month. Shrewsbury is just over half an hour from Emma's Dairy, offering a selection of places to eat, drink and shop in addition to attractions such as Shrewsbury Castle, a museum and art gallery, and some of the finest Tudor black-and-white half-timbered houses in the country. Temper country charm with some cosmopolitan style in Chester or Liverpool, both of which are packed with shops, sights and places to eat and drink.
Walking is a favourite way to enjoy the beauty of this region, which is close to the Welsh Border and Offa's Dyke. The long-distance Shropshire Way footpath passes through the farm, while the Llangollen Canal and Sustrans Cycle Route 45 are only a short distance from the cottage and easy to reach on foot or bicycle. There are golf courses, national nature reserves, lakes for swimming and sailing, and even, for the truly adventurous souls, the opportunity to go parachuting and rally driving.
Guests at Emma's Dairy have use of the shared facilities that include a heated indoor swimming pool, multi-purpose sports court, toddler play area, barbecues, and a woodland picnic site and wildlife area. XCover Insurance can be booked with your booking. More information is on the owner's website.

Emma's Dairy is decorated in a style that is both relaxed and modern, with a high standard of fixtures and furnishings to ensure guests' comfort. Accommodation is over two levels.

Outside: Emma's Dairy has a small private enclosed garden with a seating area, and allocated parking for two cars. Guests also have full use of the farm's shared facilities.
Additional Information: A well-behaved dog is welcome with prior agreement from the owner. All utilities, including WiFi, sheets and towels are provided. Short breaks are available. A highchair, stair gate and travel cot (no bedding) are available on request. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
