Ash Lodge sleeps up to four guests in comfort and style and is just one of ten lodges on a private site located in the Shropshire village of Clunton next to a small farm within the beautiful Clun Valley (AONB). Offering well appointed self-catering accommodation with a lovely sense of light and space, Ash Lodge provides an ideal retreat at any time of the year.
The surrounding countryside offers some lovely walks starting from the front door - walk to Clunton Coppice, a site run by the Wildlife Trust and marvel at the lovely views or to the iron age fort at nearby Bury Ditches where the views stretch over Shropshire and beyond to Wales. Alternatively, take a gentle stroll to the great local pub at the end of the lane which serves very good food and real ale (well worth the five minute walk!).
The picturesque small town of Clun is nearby which is divided by its packhorse bridge dating back to the 15th Century and offers three pubs, shops for stocking up on provisions, tea rooms and its renowned castle ruins. Also within easy reach are Ludlow (a foodie heaven), historic Shrewsbury and the cathedral city of Hereford.
For those who enjoy fishing, you can try your hand on the river that runs past the lodge (rod licence required). For cyclists, the area is popular with many interesting routes to choose from. Alternatively, just sit back and relax in this wonderful tranquil waterside setting and soak up the peace, tranquillity and beautiful views from the decking area.

Outside: There is decking on both sides of the lodge (patio furniture provided) providing plenty of space to relax and soak up the peace and tranquillity. Please note that the river outside the lodge is fast flowing so children should not be left unsupervised.
