Day trips can include visiting the Ironbridge Gorge UNESCO World Heritage Site, shopping and sightseeing in Ludlow, Shrewsbury & Hereford and exploring the southern part of Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park and the northern part of the Brecon Beacons.  The Welsh Atlantic coast is a scenic two hour drive away.
