Lea Cottage can be found in the small picturesque village of Foolow situated in Derbyshire and the Peak District National Park, 2 miles west of the historical plague village of Eyam and 6 miles north of Bakewell famous for its puddings and tarts.
The cottage, formerly the tractor barn and hayloft, forms part of the main house, Kirk Lea, a Grade II listed limestone barn.
You enter the cottage through the large arch picture window which helps flood the lounge/dining room with light. This large open room with high ceilings and exposed beams is tastefully decorated with warm tones of cream and green which give the cottage a warm homely feel making it the perfect place to settle down after a long day exploring the many delights of the Peak District.

Accommodation
The galley kitchen is light and bright and has everything you will need for your stay. A feature of this room is the high ceilings, exposed beams and the original open stone steps which take you up to the main bedroom. The kitchen is well stocked with essentials for your stay.
The large bedroom with king size bed is carpeted and has a light and airy feel due to the high vaulted ceilings. The exposed beams and fireplace give this room a true cottage feel. Great care has been taken to ensure the mattress, bed linen and pillows are to the highest standard to satisfy everyone's needs.
There is a newly refurbished compact tiled ensuite shower room with a white suite with chrome fittings and a power shower. A generous supply of large towels and toiletries is supplied for your convenience.
Lea Cottage has a private garden overlooking the village green available to guests situated across the road from the cottage with garden seating where you can watch the world go by. Directly outside the cottage is a wooden bench where you can view the sun setting.
With many walks, climbing and cycle routes direct from your door Lea Cottage is the perfect base.
Louise the owner is also a keen cyclist and will happily organise bike hire and accompanied rides if you are a solo traveller.
