People have been coming to Buxton for centuries to enjoy the rejuvenating thermal waters, and it's one of the top spots in the Peak District. The town is famous for its gorgeous Georgian and Victorian buildings and has a fantastic mix of art, music, theatre, and festivals that everyone will love. Make sure to visit the iconic Buxton Crescent, take a stroll through the beautiful Pavilion Gardens, and catch a show at the historic Buxton Opera House. The town centre is bustling with independent shops, cafes, and restaurants where you can grab a bite or find a souvenir. Don’t miss out on the therapeutic waters at St. Ann’s Well and the beauty of Serpentine Walks. If you’re into culture, the Buxton Festival is a must-see, showcasing opera, music, and literature. History buffs will love the Buxton Museum & Art Gallery and the fascinating Poole’s Cavern.

The Peak District is right on your doorstep, offering endless opportunities for adventure and exploration. As the UK’s first National Park, it's a paradise for outdoor lovers. There are so many trails for walking and cycling, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced hiker. Check out the dramatic landscapes of the High Peak, including Kinder Scout and Mam Tor, or enjoy the serene beauty of dales like Dovedale and Monsal Dale. Bridgerton and Tudor fans will be thrilled with visits to grand estates like Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, both just a short drive away. And if you’re into industrial heritage, you’ve got to see the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. The Peak District has something for everyone, whether you want adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both.
