Bleaklow Farm combines classic style with a peaceful rural location to create a superb holiday home for your self-catering holiday in the Peak District. Sleeping 30 people in 15 beautiful ensuite bedrooms, it provides friends and extended families with the comforts of a boutique hotel, spectacular views, and luxurious touches like rainfall showers, underfloor heating and designer wallpaper. The owner can recommend local caterers and other specialists if you plan a special event like a birthday celebration or hosting guests for your wedding. Holiday bookings are available all year round to allow you to enjoy scenic walks and bike rides, fantastic food, and favourite attractions.
Bleaklow Farm is close to the Peak District village of Great Longstone, where there are two friendly pubs and a well-stocked village store. More shops and amenities are three miles away in Bakewell, home to the famous Bakewell Pudding and a thriving Monday market with more than 100 traders. You can easily walk or cycle to Bakewell, taking a detour via Ashford in the Water to see the medieval sheep wash bridge. Alternatively, drive the 12 miles to Buxton for a wider choice of places to eat, drink and shop.
The Peak District attracts visitors for various reasons, with walking and cycling being high on the list of top activities. Bleaklow Farm is close to the Monsal Trail. Other local routes lead to Bleaklow Head via the Longdendale Trail and Pennine Way and to the Bleaklow Moors and the 1948 crash site of a B29 bomber. If you don't have the time or inclination for a long walk or mountain bike ride over the moors, jump in the car to drive the Snake Pass. This most scenic of routes links Glossop and Ladybower Reservoir with incredible views of the Pennines.
Local attractions include the breathtaking Chatsworth House and grounds, with gilded windows, a jaw-dropping collection of art, and parklands designed by Capability Brown. Poole's Cavern and Country Park, the Eyam Museum, and Haddon Hall are within easy reach, with Alton Towers being just over half an hour's drive. You don't have to leave the grounds of Bleaklow Farm to have a fantastic time. Why not book an in-house activity like a yoga session or a cocktail making class.
