The Coach House is in a fantastic location for walking, cycling and enjoying the best Peak District attractions like Chatsworth House and Thor's Cave, Bakewell, Buxton and Dovedale. The self-catering cottage is on a family-run sheep and cattle farm on the edge of Alstonefield on the Staffordshire Moors near the Derbyshire border. There are gorgeous views and beautiful footpaths from the cottage, which sleeps six people in two bedrooms and is suitable for couples or families, including those with children and two well-behaved dogs. Bookings are available all year round.

Herdwick Barn is a stone holiday barn on a family-run farm near Leek and Buxton in the Peak District. Apart from the owners, your nearest neighbours are their small flock of white-faced, fluffy Herdwick sheep that thrive in these spectacular upland surroundings. Cop Farm is a sensational large holiday home. It sleeps 14 people in five bedrooms so is ideal for gathering your friends or extended family for a special occasion or simply to catch up. The farmhouse is only a mile from the Devonshire Arms Pub in Peak Forest, and you can walk or cycle along the canal into Buxton if you want to stretch your legs. Bakewell, Chatsworth House, Blue John Cavern, and the Monsal Trail are all within easy reach to offer something fun for everyone.

Catherine Cottage is a charming 300-year-old holiday home in the small village of Ashford-in-the-Water, just over a mile from Bakewell and within easy reach of Buxton, Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. The Monsal Trail runs close to the village, and there's bike hire available locally. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms and has many original features, including oak beams and a fireplace with a log burner. It's very well equipped for a self-catering holiday.  It's also dog-friendly (please note, although there is no garden, the Orchard park is 2 minutes' walk away and about 50% of our guests bring dogs with them).  When you stay here, you're at the heart of village life, right in the countryside, and only a couple of steps to two fine pubs, a tea shop and the village store.

Dating back over 250 years, it sleeps five people in three bedrooms with the potential to accommodate an extra child if necessary. Families love this house for its location, just a short walk from the village shops, bakery and a choice of three pubs, with easy access to the Bradford River and the long-distance Limestone Way footpath. Bakewell is four miles from the cottage, with Chatsworth House, Matlock and Matlock Spa also nearby.
