Heather View sleeps up to six guests in One super king bedroom, one double ensuite bedroom and one twin bedroom. It provides very comfortable accommodation with a cosy lounge with wood burning stove, dining room and a fully fitted kitchen. Outhouse for wet clothes, muddy boots, bikes etc, with power to charge e bikes. Washing machine and dryer.
The property is located in Threlkeld village which is close to the bustling market town of Keswick (three miles) and situated at the base of Blencathra mountain (also called Saddleback). Conveniently placed, Heather View sits close to the A66 and is within easy reach and only a fifteen minute drive from the M6 (junction 40), making it perfectly placed for visiting the Lakes, Eden Valley and also Carlisle - a wealth of attractions and great days out.
Threlkeld has two village pubs The Horse and Farrier 50m across the road and The Sally Inn just a bit further up the road in the village there is also the White Horse Inn at nearby Scales all serving traditional pub food, Threlkeld also has a playground for the little ones and newsagents/Post Office.
Heather View offers a superb base for those who want to explore the area by foot with wonderful walks straight from the garden out over the fells - whether you are looking for something a little strenuous such as tackling the ascent up Skiddaw or Blencathra, or fancy a leisurely riverside walk, opportunities are plentiful. Whatever type of outdoor pursuits you enjoy, the village is an ideal base with golf available at the nearby Keswick Golf course and water-sports on Derwentwater or Ullswater, both providing a stunning backdrop for water based activities.
Threlkeld is a good choice for cyclists being on the famous Sea to Sea (C2C) route from Workington to Sunderland. You can also walk or cycle along the former railway line from Threlkeld into Keswick. Local salmon and trout fishing with pike perch fishing nearby.
Logs for the fire and charcoal for the BBQ are available to but from Keswick.

Outside: There is a garden at the side of the property which is sheltered with a south-facing aspect, lawn area and a stream running along its bordered - a lovely place to sit and enjoy the fantastic views with BBQ. Plenty of parking available.
Useful extra information: Electricity, heating and bed linen included in the rental charge. A cot is available.
Book a short break or weekly booking for 2024/2025 for £100.00 deposit instead of the normal £150.00. Dog friendly and very welcome free of charge. This offer ends on the 31st January 2025
