About Heather View

Heather View sleeps up to six guests in two double bedrooms and one twin. It provides very comfortable accommodation with a cosy lounge with open fire, dining room and a fully fitted kitchen.

The property is located in Threlkeld village which is close to the bustling market town of Keswick (three miles) and situated at the base of Blencathra mountain (also called Saddleback). Conveniently placed, Heather View sits close to the A66 and is within easy reach and only a fifteen minute drive from the M6 (junction 40), making it perfectly placed for visiting the Lakes, Eden Valley and also Carlisle - a wealth of attractions and great days out.

Threlkeld has two village pubs and there is also a pub at nearby Scales serving traditional pub food, along with a playground for the little ones and newsagents/Post Office.

Heather View offers a superb base for those who want to explore the area by foot with wonderful walks straight from the garden out over the fells - whether you are looking for something a little strenuous such as tackling the ascent up Skiddaw or Blencathra, or fancy a leisurely riverside walk, opportunities are plentiful. Whatever type of outdoor pursuits you enjoy, the village is an ideal base with golf available at the nearby Keswick Golf course and water-sports on Derwentwater or Ullswater, both providing a stunning backdrop for water based activities.

Threlkeld is on the route of the popular Coast to Coast (C2C) cycling route from Workington to Sunderland. You can also walk or cycle along the former railway line from Threlkeld into Keswick.

Additional information: Pub distance - just twenty yards away!; Penrith train station is fifteen miles; Keswick is just four miles and the nearest town; Derwentwater is the nearest lake and under five miles; The nearest restaurant is four miles.
