Merafield sleeps four guests in two bedrooms and is situated on the outskirts of Exmoor National Park, in a peaceful elevated position in the popular seaside resort of Minehead. Offering family and dog-friendly (one dog) self-catering, Merafield offers single level accommodation that has been recently refurbished and is ideal for friends, families and couples.
Well presented throughout, Merafield is the perfect place to relax and unwind at any time of the year, and a great base for exploring the historic and diverse landscape of West Somerset, including an abundance of countryside and coastal attractions.
The area offers plenty of interesting places for day trips out. Minehead with its tree lined avenues, beach, harbour and great floral displays has wide appeal and attractions that include the West Somerset Railway - a wonderful relaxing way of enjoying the beauty of the rural landscape, with stations along the coast. Minehead's sandy beach is popular with families and within walking distance of Merafield (twenty minutes or a five minute drive). There are also shops, cafes and pubs within walking distance and access onto the South West Coastal Path for those who enjoy walking (the coastal path starts at Minehead). In fact, Exmoor National Park and the nearby Quantock Hills offer excellent opportunities for walkers, cyclists and also those who enjoy horse riding.
Slightly further along the coast and worth visiting is Dunster with its lovely beach, yarn market and beautiful castle, picturesque Porlock Weir, and Lynton and Lynmouth which are both connected by a funicular cliff-top railway (dog-friendly!). The picturesque harbour village of Watchet is definitely worth visiting with its new marina and the chance to go fossil hunting. Other popular attractions include Tarr Steps, an ancient clapper bridge straddling the River Barle and Cleeve Abbey in Washford, an impressive medieval monastery in the care of English Heritage.
Exmoor National Park is a huge outdoor playground that is a popular holiday destination at any time of the year with people visiting to discover its beautiful clean Blue Flag beaches, pretty villages with country inns, festivals/events and abundance of outdoor adventures.

Outside: The garden has a good sized patio area which has views to St Michaels church on North Hill as well as the coast in the distance. There is a driveway for off-road parking alongside the property.
Additional information: All prices are fully inclusive of heating, electricity, bed linen and towels. WiFi throughout and included in the price. No smoking in the property. Children welcome. One dog is welcome.
Prices: The prices displayed are based on two people sharing, additional occupancy is charged at £70 per person. Christmas/New Year are charged at the high season rate. Short breaks of three nights are offered in low season and charged at £150 for two people sharing, and an additional charge of £15 per extra person per night. A £100 deposit is required at the point of booking, with the balance due one month before the arrival date.
