Mellowstones is a delightful self catering cottage for up to six people in the North Cotswold village of Broad Campden. The village is off the beaten track with centuries old cottages and the oldest known Quaker meeting house in the country. A popular pub (The Bakers Arms) serves local ales, good food and has a garden with seating. Three bedrooms with two bath / shower rooms (one en-suite). A sitting room with smart TV, electric fire, comfortable seating offers a home away from home. Open plan with dining table & chairs and patio doors to the rear garden. A kitchen with all modern appliances offers guests the opportunity to dine at home. Electric Vehicle charge point available for guests (charges apply).
This lovely cottage is in a quiet setting & is surrounded by many field and footpath walks. Guests can leave the cottage & walk for miles without having to cross a road. The property provides an ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds and nearby towns and cities such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Cheltenham, Warwick and Oxford. There are many circular walks, taking in Broadway and Broadway Tower or for anyone looking for more of a challenge, The Cotswold Way starts (or ends) in Chipping Campden & winds its way along the Cotswolds escarpment for 102 miles to Bath.
Mellowstones is a 20 minute walk or a 2 minute drive from Chipping Campden where there are many cafes, restaurants and shops to browse along a beautifully sculptured High Street. The town hall and the market hall have regular markets and there are weekly guided walks around town on a Wednesday. The Tourist Information centre on the High Street provides an excellent service and is well worth a visit. The Ernist Wilson Garden is a lovely space to visit in Leysbourne where many rare specimins of established shrubs & trees from around the world can be enjoyed in a peaceful setting. A visit to the Old Silk Mill & Harts Silversmiths is a must for anyone wishing to step back in time & witness another piece of Arts and Crafts history.
Ideal for families & friends travelling together and is pet friendly by arrangement, for a small charge.
