Crafty Cottage takes every wonderful dream of a Cotswold holiday cottage and turns it into a charming reality for couples and individual visitors. It's perfect in every way, with an open plan living area and kitchen downstairs, and a cosy bedroom with a super-kingsized bed and an ensuite upstairs. It's a peaceful, romantic bolt hole beautifully furnished with upcycled pieces explicitly chosen to fit the space and character of the property, which is only steps away from the shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs like the Red Lion, which make Chipping Campden perfect for a self-catering holiday.
Chipping Campden is an attractive market town with a long history. Starting from the 1400s and lasting for centuries, it was one of England's most famous wool towns, selling the highly coveted fleeces from Cotswold Lion sheep to traders around Europe. This heritage is seen in more than the beauty of its buildings and the layout and names of the streets (most notably Sheep Street), which follow the route of flocks being led to market. Though the wool trade no longer takes centre stage you can enjoy monthly markets undercover in the historic market hall which dates from 1627. Walking around town, you'll see not only honey-coloured stone properties built by the Georgians but also superb examples of Arts and Crafts architecture. This movement inspired the decor of Crafty Cottage. You can find out more about it at Court Barn Museum on Church Street.
Places to visit during your stay in Chipping Campden include the Old Silk Mill, Hidcote Manor, Kiftsgate Court Gardens, and St James's Church. Walk up to Hoo Lane for wonderfully panoramic views of the town or climb up Dover's Hill for views across the Cotswold countryside and the Vale of Evesham and further towards the Black Mountains. Further afield, attractions include Cotswold Wildlife Park, Birdland Park and Gardens, Cotswold Farm Park, and the fragrant Snowhill Manor and Lavender Farm. Admire the magnificence of Sudeley Castle and Gloucester Cathedral, spend a day shopping and at the races in Cheltenham, or drive 20 minutes north to Stratford Upon Avon for everything Shakespeare. There's always a market, fair, performance or festival on somewhere in the Cotswolds, so have a look at the calendar before you arrive to see what else you can do.
Crafty Cottage is available for holiday bookings all year round. Short breaks are possible, depending on availability. Well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement, for an extra charge.

Outside: A cottage garden inspired by Hidcote has outdoor seating. There is allocated off-street parking for one car.
Additional Information: Utilities, complimentary WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are all included. An initial basket of fuel for the log burner is provided. Flowers / balloons can be arranged for special occasions. Well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement, for an extra charge. Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage.
