Clock Tower is as delightful as its Cotswold location. Sited on Sheep Street in Stow-on-the-Wold, the former Methodist Church has witnessed the bustle of the historic market town since 1814, imbuing its walls with a feeling of welcome and well-being that still lingers. A spacious living area and two luxurious en-suite bedrooms overlook the green and The Porch House, England's oldest inn, with fantastic shops, cafes and restaurants on your doorstep. The penthouse holiday accommodation has everything, from far-reaching views to oak beams and stone walls, and a large kitchen well-equipped with everything couples, families and friends need for a self-catering holiday in the Cotswolds.
Of all the dozens of beautiful market towns and villages in the Cotswolds, Stow-on-the-Wold is a favourite. How could you not fall in love with its honey-hued Cotswold-stone buildings, fantastic choice of places to eat, drink, and shop, and unique sights like the yew trees at the medieval St Edward's Church, so old that they have grown to become part of the church's fabric? Clock Tower overlooks the market square where shops, galleries and other businesses face the green with its wooden stocks and ancient cross. The town on the Roman Fosse Way, which once saw huge sheep markets, is now a popular choice for shopping, dining out, and visiting attractions like the Cricket Museum, Hidcote Manor, Batsford Arboretum, and Chastleton House. For all its age and history, there is nothing stuffy about Stow.
Stow-on-the-Wold is the perfect place from which to explore the Cotswolds. You're only ten minutes from the Slaughters, 15-minutes from Bourton-on-the-Water, Moreton-in-Marsh, and Broadway, and less than half an hour from Chipping Campden and Bibury. Bath, Cheltenham, Cirencester, Kingham, Blenheim Palace, and Bicester Village are under an hour away for fantastic day trips. Local attractions include Chedworth Roman Villa, the Rollright Stone Circle, and Snowshill Manor. Families love the Model Village in Bourton, Adam Henson's Cotswolds Farm Park near Cheltenham, and Fairy Tale Farm. There are incredible footpaths, scenic cycling routes, and the opportunity to hire a vintage car and tour in fashion.
However you spend your days, staying in the comfort of Clock Tower will be a highlight.
