Westhaven One is a beautiful Victorian holiday rental in Aberdovey, steps from cafes, shops and the pretty harbour. The owners have created a welcoming space where four people can sleep in two bedrooms, enjoying modern comforts with traditional period features. Two double sofa beds in the living room can accommodate two more people, making Westhaven One perfect for couples, families and friends. The property is a ground floor apartment in the desirable Harbour Hotel.
Aberdovey ("Aberdyfi" in Welsh") is at the mouth of the River Dyfi, where it meets Cardigan Bay. Trefeddian Beach is a good spot for fishing for flounder, bass, eels, turbot, mullet and bass, with other local areas including Aberdyfi Beach, the Roman Road, and the wooden jetty. Fun opportunities for water babies also include swimming in the Rivers Dyfi and Tafel and the glacial Tal Y Llyn lake at the base of Cader Idris, which is a heavenly way to cool off after climbing a mountain! With so much water, it's understandable that sailing, rowing, kiteboarding, paddleboarding, and open water swimming are popular and easily accessible.
Snowdonia is hugely attractive to walkers and mountain bikers who come all year round to enjoy the trails and the views. Walk around Cardigan Bay's coastline or take one of four breathtaking footpaths to the peak of Cader Idris. Mountain biking is another fantastic way to explore, either via designated trails or along bridleways through the Dyfi Valley from Machynlleth. You can spot birds, otters and other wildlife at the Ynis-Hir Nature Reserve, enjoy a memorable falconry experience, take a ride on the heritage Talyllyn steam Railway, or play 18-holes at Aberdovey Golf Club.
