Plas Y Nant Lodge is in an incredible location. Surrounded by mountains and within walking distance of Afon Gwyfari and Llyn Cwellyn, you can fill your days with beautiful sights and unforgettable experiences. The one-bedroom cottage has views of Snowdon and is perfect for couples or solo adventurers.
Get ready to fill your days with adventure. This part of Snowdonia National Park is filled with opportunities to hike, walk, climb and mountain bike. Visitors can go fishing and play golf, and spend time exploring this picturesque region. There is a shop and pub just two miles away in Waunfawr with further amenities and supplies for your self-catering holiday available is Beddgelert, about six miles away. Beddgelert is set beside the banks of the Glaslyn and is incredibly pretty. A favourite walk is to Gelert's Grave, where a stone marks the resting place of Prince Llewellyn the Great's faithful dog, while another path leads to the ruined castle Dinas Emrys and legends of dragons and Merlin.
The weather in Snowdonia can be as dramatic as the landscape, but that doesn't matter because there is an excellent choice of all-weather attractions. Go underground at the Sygun Copper Mine just outside the village, or learn about one of the region's most valuable resources at the National Slate Museum. There is a different castle for every day of the week including Edward I's Ring of Iron, including Caernarfon, Conwy, Harlech, and Beaumaris Castles. National Trust properties nearby include Penrhyn Castle in Bangor and Plas Newydd on Anglesey. If it's sunny, take a picnic to Bodnant Gardens or walk among the decoratively colourful buildings at Portmeirion. If climbing a mountain sounds a little too energetic, book a ticket on the Welsh Highland Railway which you can flag down opposite the cottage at Plas Y Nant Halt and take the train to Beddgelert or Caernarfon!), or the Snowdon Mountain Railway, Ffestiniog Railway, or the Llanberis Lake Railway.
As enjoyable as all of the places we have listed are, the main attraction is the landscape. In addition to the mountains - Snowdon is just a mile from the cottage. The coast is within an easy 30-minute drive of Plas Y Nant Lodge, with options ranging from Bangor to Plas Menai, Felinheli, Newborough, and Dinas Dinlle.
Snowdonia is great for a holiday at any time of the year, with Plas Y Nant Lodge being perfectly located to make the most of its sights and attractions.

Outside: Make the most of great weather and unbeatable views by lighting the barbecue and eating outdoors against the backdrop of Snowdonia and its magnificent mountains. The cottage has off-road parking for one car.
Accommodation Comprises: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen, bath towels and a welcome basket of logs are all included. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome through prior arrangement. Short breaks are available outside of peak season, depending on availability.
