The Barn at Geufron Farm is a gorgeous stone cottage with accommodation for up to four people in two bedrooms and is perfect for families and friends. Enjoy sweeping views over Snowdonia towards Cardigan Bay, and a location that's within walking distance of the welcoming Peniarth Arms pub.
Geufron Farm is in the south-west corner of the Snowdonia National Park, on the outskirts of Bryncrug village and less than three miles from the Blue Flag beach at Tywyn. It sits in 20 private acres, so you don't even need to leave the farm to enjoy fun and adventure. The local area has excellent trails for hiking and mountain biking, scenic road rides, and stables nearby where you can take a guided pony trek and see the landscape from horseback. Walk, cycle or drive to the coast to swim, paddleboard, or walk along the Wales Coast Path, which goes along the seafront and gives sensational panoramic views that can include Aberystwyth, the Llyn Peninsula and Pwllheli. You may be lucky enough to spot the porpoises and bottle-nose dolphins that visit the harbour. A particular favourite with families for a day on the beach is Aberdyfi with its pier (great for crabbing!), lovely shops and gorgeous beach.
Settle back and relax on the heritage narrow-gauge Talyllyn Railway as it journeys through the spectacular countryside from the Tywyn Wharf to Nant Gwernol near Abergynolwyn. There's a fun event every August where cross-country runners challenge themselves to "race the train" and raise money for charity. Despite being over a century old, the Magic Lantern Cinema is bang up to date with technology and shows the latest blockbusters as well as some favourite classic films.
The owners of Geufron Farm are passionate about creating a comfortable, welcoming space where their guests do not have to worry about anything other than planning their next day's adventure. The cottages are dog-friendly, as is the local pub, Tywyn Beach and many businesses in the area, and there are walks and bike rides accessible from the door. The Barn is one of five beautiful self-catering holiday properties on the privately owned farm, each being entirely private and self-contained with the option to book together to accommodate extended families and groups of friends. The Barn (Ysgubor, in Welsh) dates from the 17th Century and has been lovingly restored using local materials to create a cottage with accommodation over two levels.

Outside: Steps lead from the car park, where there are two allocated parking spaces, to the paved path going around the cottage. The fenced garden has a picnic bench where guests can eat outside, as well as a deck with relaxed seating to sit and admire the scenery or enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunset over Cardigan Bay. The owners have built a large enclosed dog field/walk for guests with pets - particularly handy for dogs who like an early morning or late night walk!
Additional information: All utilities, WiFi, bedlinen and bath towels are provided. Three house trained dogs welcome (pls speak to the owner if you would like to bring more). Local laundrette are happy to pick up and drop off. Cot and high chairs can be provided along with dog/baby gates. Locked bike storage can be pre-booked with the owners.
