Eisteddfa is a welcoming holiday rental in a spectacular location with beautiful views towards Cardigan Bay and the mountains of Snowdonia. In between the Llyn Peninsula and Snowdonia National Park, the location could not be more ideal for families or friends who want to enjoy all of the features that make this part of Wales a year-round favourite. Five spacious bedrooms comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests, making the holiday home perfect for big families or friends.
You're never far from anything when you stay at Eisteddfa. The house is only two miles from Morannedd Beach at Criccieth, the charming Victorian seaside town with a medieval castle and a good variety of places to eat, drink and shop. Your holiday can be a mix of fun-filled days at the beach, challenging hill climbs, scenic walks, and energetic mountain bike rides. Get your thrills at Zip World and Bounce Below, or improve your skills at Surf Snowdonia. You can't miss the opportunity to scale Snowdon, whether on foot or via the train from Llanberis.
It's not all about action and adventure. The colourful Italianate village of Portmeirion is only 15-minutes from Eisteddfa, or you can set up your chair and your rod at the Eisteddfa Fishery, which is virtually on the doorstep. Other local attractions include the Dwyfor Rabbit Farm and Animal Park at Llanystumdwy and activities at Glasfryn Parc and Talhenbont Hall. For history lovers, WWI British Prime Minister, Lloyd George, is buried in Llanystumdwy, where there is a museum dedicated to his life. Eisteddfa is the former home of one of his daughters. Caernarfon Castle is half an hour's drive north of the cottage. It's a magnificent display of power and wealth that inspires awe more than seven centuries after its construction.
Eisteddfa is a semi-detached house and can be booked together with Ty Mawr next door to provide generous accommodation for up to 18 guests. A small cottage close by sleeping a further 2 guests in a ground floor bedroom can also be booked to take the accommodation up to 20. Elsewhere on the farm is a modern cottage sleeping 4. When Eisteddfa and Ty Mawr are booked together, there is plenty of space and dining capacity for everyone to socialise and eat together.
