Once part of a traditional courtyard stable block, Fig Tree has been beautifully transformed into a stylish and comfortable holiday home. Surrounded by stunning scenery and nestled in a magical setting, it’s the perfect rural escape to unwind, recharge, and enjoy quality time with family or friends. Ideally positioned on the edge of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, it’s a dream spot for walkers and nature lovers alike. And while the atmosphere is wonderfully peaceful, the charming market town of Llanrwst, with its handy selection of shops, cafes, and pub, is just a 10-minute drive away. If you’re in the mood for a coastal adventure, the historic town of Conwy and the classic seaside charm of Llandudno are both less than half an hour away.
This inviting two-bedroom cottage sleeps up to five guests, all on one level. Thoughtfully equipped and incredibly cozy, it's perfect for couples or families, including those with young children and dogs. The open-plan living area is bright and airy, and the outdoor space offers plenty of room for fun and relaxation, complete with a private hot tub. Guests also have access to a heated indoor swimming pool, shared with just one other on-site cottage, Laurel, which sleeps four. For larger groups or two families traveling together, both cottages can be booked (subject to availability), offering a lovely balance of togetherness and privacy. With a full acre of grounds, fantastic amenities, and easy access to both mountains and coast, Fig Tree is a year-round haven for adventure, relaxation, and everything in between.
Just a few miles down peaceful country lanes lies the picturesque village of Eglwysbach, home to the Bee Inn, an inviting, traditional country pub serving a great selection of local ales and hearty, home-cooked meals. Nearby, you'll also find the Bodnant Welsh Food Centre, which features a fantastic farm shop full of local produce and a café that’s perfect for a delicious breakfast.
Bodnant Garden, a stunning 80-acre National Trust estate, is just three miles from the cottage. It’s a beautiful spot to enjoy a leisurely walk, have a picnic, or indulge in a relaxing cup of tea in the on-site café. For a different outdoor experience, the Conwy Water Gardens are also nearby, with fishing lakes, nature trails, a play area, and a Dutch Pancake House offering a tasty alternative to traditional treats. Other local attractions include the medieval walled town of Conwy, birdwatching at the RSPB Conwy nature reserve and the Welsh Mountain Zoo.
If you're craving some excitement, you’re within easy reach of the Zip World locations at Betws-y-Coed, Llechwedd, and Penrhyn Quarry. Alternatively, for those seeking a real challenge, take on one of the six routes to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), the highest mountain in Wales and England.
Fig Tree is not only perfectly positioned for exploring the mountains, but it’s also just a short distance from the coast. Stock up on groceries in the shadow of the impressive Conwy Castle, or enjoy a leisurely stroll along the seafront promenade and Wales’ longest pier at Llandudno.
Fig Tree and Laurel are available for bookings all year round. Short breaks (minimum of two nights) are available outside of peak season, depending on availability.
