Brookside Cottage sleeps up to ten guests and is the owners largest holiday home in the sleepy Derbyshire village of Two Dales on the edge of the Peak District National park. Ideally located a short distance from the popular towns of Matlock and Bakewell, the village is surrounded by woodland and rolling hills and has a great local butchers, traditional village inn for eating out and shops including a convenience store for stocking up on provisions. The Plough Inn is within walking distance, as is Barrington's Pub and Restaurant - no need to cook on holiday if you do not wish!
With two king-size bedrooms and a spacious triple (plus a double sofa bed and fold-away bed), the cottage is ideal for families and friends at any time of the year. It has a well equipped kitchen, dining room seating ten guests, and a modern sitting room with comfy seating for relaxing of an evening and watching your favourite movie on Sky (full package).
Two Dales is a haven for wildlife and an excellent holiday choice for outdoor enthusiasts. For walkers, you will struggle to find a better location with spectacular walks from the cottage, along with direct access out onto the open moorland of the Peak District National Park from not far outside the village. There are also miles of trails and country lanes for cyclists to explore in the area, as well as plenty of great days out for the less active including Buxton and Bakewell - famous for its pudding, along with popular Chatsworth Stately Home and Haddon Hall.
The Peak District is home to some of the UK's most beautiful countryside and spans some five hundred square miles across several counties. Attracting holiday makers from all over the world, it is famed for its exquisite natural beauty and diverse landscape of dramatic peaks, rolling dales and picture post-card villages.
