Brookside Retreat sleeps two guests and sits in the sleepy Derbyshire village of Two Dales which is located on the outskirts of the Peak District National Park. With both the popular market town of Bakewell and the county town of Matlock within a short drive away, Two Dales is a good choice of holiday destination with a butchers (try their home-made sausage rolls and pies!) and village store for provisions, as well as The Plough Inn for a meal out and also Barrington's Pub and Restaurant (a ten minute walk from Brookside Retreat).
With a king-size bedroom and bathroom with shower cubicle and bath on the first floor, plus spacious living areas on the ground floor, the cottage is ideal for couples at any time of the year with plenty of space to relax and unwind.
Two Dales offers all the right ingredients for those who enjoy being outdoors. Abundant with wildlife the rolling hills and woodland offers great opportunities for walkers and the country lanes are just made for cycling. Lace up your walking boots and enjoy walks straight from the front door, where it is also possible to access the open moorland of the Peak's close to the village.
For day trips out, the magnificent spa town of Buxton is within easy reach, as is Bakewell (home to the famous pudding), Haddon Hall with all its medieval charm and Chatsworth House.
The Peak District with some 500 square miles of natural beauty has been attracting tourists from around the world for many years. The most visited of all the UK's national parks, this beautiful part of the country with its gentle rolling hills, magnificent peaks and picture post-card villages is a must to visit at any time of the year.
