Situated in a country village, it is ideal for meandering around the quiet lanes, or taking a cycle ride to neighbouring market towns.
With a large patio that affords a south facing aspect and enclosed garden it is ideal for friends and family. Whether you like to barbecue, eat alfresco, play boules on the lawn, read or just relax, there is plenty of space for you to enjoy.
The entire three bedroom cottage will be home for six guests during your stay and is ideally situated for exploring the spectacular Peak District National Park and the Moorlands and Dales of Derbyshire and Staffordshire. Alton Towers Resort is on the doorstep which you can drive to on a quiet road avoiding the traffic.
The Derbyshire Dales is certainly an all year round destination with an abundance of attractions and days out, all within close proximity.
A visit to Chatsworth House is worthy of a full day to take in the spectacular scenery, gardens and famous house used as the set for many period dramas. Dovedale is nearby and famous for its stepping stones across the clear waters of the River Dove, surrounded by Thorpe Cloud another well-known film-set for the Robin Hood movie starring Russell Crowe.
The area has everything you need for an all weather break, with popular days out including not only the UK’s top theme park but also Haddon Hall, Carsington Water, the Heights of Abraham cable cars, Great Rutland and Masson Caverns show caves, Gullivers Kingdom, and the Peak Wildlife Park. If you fancy a trip to the multiplex cinema, a night out bowling or ice skating then Uttoxeter is only 15 minutes away. The market Ashbourne has an abundance of bars, bistros and cafes and is famous for the annual Shrovetide game.
Bring along your bikes, or hire them locally to experience a trip back in time navigating the many off road trails in the area including Tissington, Carsington Reservoir and Monsal. A walk around Monsal Head, overlooking the Monsal Dale and the famous Headstone viaduct, Fin Cop hill will take your breath away with the spectacular views.
The Peak District and surrounding area is truly a hidden gem with a combination of modern attractions amongst beautiful landscape. With a location that's conveniently central and delicious local food and drink, you will wonder why you didn’t book sooner!

Outside: The cottage is on a quiet residential country road with an enclosed front garden laid mainly to lawn. There is a paved patio with garden furniture and a barbecue. Guests have off-road parking for up to four cars.
Additional Information: All utilities, WiFi, bath towels and bed linen are included (please note that all bookings/prices are subject to an additional cleaning fee of £55 per stay). Short breaks are available all year round. Smoking is not permitted. No pets.
