This listing refers to Apartment 4, a two bedroom apartment sleeping four people with sea views. It's ideal for families who appreciate being within strolling distance of the beach, cafes, and friendly pubs like the Black Swan. However, its size and layout also suit couples and friends. McLaren House is the work of two brothers who adored growing up in Northumberland and whose dream is to share their love of its stunning beaches and countryside with people like you and your family.
Seahouses is a picturesque Northumberland fishing village that has kept its traditional charm despite its growing popularity as a holiday spot. Introduce your kids to the simple screen-free pleasures of crabbing from the harbour wall at high tide, playing crazy golf, beating the games at the amusement arcade, and eating freshly fried chips on the sand. The region's pristine beaches and clean water make it a haven for birds and wildlife. Photographers and bird watchers flock to the Farne Islands in spring and summer, and the coast is one of the best places to see grey seal pups in winter. Whether you go by boat or car (keep an eye on the tide times!), you won't want to miss a trip to Holy Island for its beauty and history as Britain's "cradle of Christianity".
Perched on a rock above the town, Bamburgh Castle is a must-see during your stay at McLaren House. The RNLI Grace Darling Museum is also popular. Kielder Forest is a designated Dark Sky Park, making the views at night as spectacular as those during the day. Other activities to enjoy include a visit to Vindolanda and Hadrian's Wall, marvelling at the ingenuity of the inventions at Cragside House, and strolling around the gardens at Alnwick. The Whitehouse Farm Centre and Northumberland Zoo are excellent year-round attractions, and there is always a fun activity and friendly face at Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens.

There are six contemporary holiday apartments in McLaren House. Each is immaculately presented, comfortably furnished, and well-equipped for a self-catering break on the Northumberland Coast. This description is for Apartment 4, a first-floor apartment accessed via stairs with a keypad entrance.
Additional Information: WiFi, bed linen, bath towels and utilities are included. Guests will need to bring beach towels if they are required. Smoking is not permitted. A local parking permit is provided.
