Norfolk Coastal Cottages with mYminiBreak offers popular spacious self-catering cottages on the Norfolk Coast. It's in Heacham and close enough to the beach that you can practically hear the waves from the garden. You're only a relaxed stroll from the Heacham South Beach, a waterfront fish bar, cafe, and the West Norfolk and Bushell & Strike pubs. Our traditional farmhouse cottages boasts plenty of original features including exposed brickwork and wooden beams, The Old Barn sleeps up to two adults and two children (under the age of 16) to sleep in two bedrooms. The Dairy sleeps up to 6 people, up to 4 adults in 3 bedrooms. Two well-behaved dogs are also welcome in this comfortable home-away-from-home, and there are plenty of dog-friendly beaches, pubs and restaurants for your four-legged friends to enjoy.
Heacham is a small seaside village in between Hunstanton and Snettisham, overlooking The Wash. The Old Barn enjoys views over the Norfolk countryside to the south and the coastal path to the west. South Beach at Heacham is just a couple of minutes' walk away, where you can enjoy fantastic views of the sun setting over the sea. Children might be surprised to see an image of Pocahontas on the village sign. Far from being a Disney character, she was an actual person who married into a local family in the 1600s and was also known as Rebecca Rolfe. There's a memorial to her in the village church. Heacham's other claim to fame is the heavenly Norfolk Lavender farm which sweetly fragrances the summer air and may be the reason you'll sleep so soundly.
Hunstanton is three miles north of Heacham. It's been a favourite seaside resort since the Victorians started visiting in the 1840s, leaving their mark in the form of elegant hotels and other buildings. Walk along the striped cliffs, promenade through the gardens, take the children to the park and challenge each other on the crazy golf course. You'll find all sorts of traditional attractions, including amusement arcades, a SEA LIFE Sanctuary and Aquarium, a fairground, and a theatre. The beaches on this side of the Norfolk coast are sheltered with calm, shallow water that's perfect for swimming, kayaking, windsurfing, and SUPs. There are so many ways to have fun that it won't matter what the weather is like when you visit. Bring or hire a bicycle and explore via waymarked cycle routes, or walk along the beautiful Peddar's Way footpath. Golf and fishing are also easily accessible. Local attractions include Sandringham Royal Estate, RSPB reserves at Snettisham and Titchwell, and Castle Rising.
The Old Barn also offers a second holiday home (The Churnery, sleeping two people in one bedroom), B&B accommodation, and camping facilities on-site if you're on holiday with another family or friends and need some more space.
