Plum Tree Cottage sits in a peaceful courtyard just moments from Burnham Market's bustling green, and it feels instantly relaxing. Sleeping four guests across two comfortable bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, the Norfolk holiday cottage combines the character of a traditional flint cottage with all the small luxuries that make a holiday easy. You'll find slate floors that stay warm underfoot, a crackling wood burner for colder evenings, and French doors that bring the garden right into the living space. It's the sort of place where you can kick off your shoes, pour a drink, and feel at home within minutes.
Step outside and the best of Burnham Market is within minutes. Sometimes nicknamed 'Little Chelsea’ for its sophisticated vibe, the village has a quietly fashionable energy, with Georgian architecture surrounding the green and an impressive mix of independent shops, galleries, and delis. Pop into the artisan bakery for fresh pastries, browse the boutiques, or settle into one of several excellent eateries for long, lazy lunches. The famous Hoste Arms is a two-minute stroll away and remains the place to be for hearty meals, craft ales, and an indulgent Sunday roast. Despite its chic reputation, Burnham Market retains an easy village rhythm — friendly, walkable, and full of character.
Venture further and you'll find the North Norfolk coast at its best. Miles of golden sand stretch out at Brancaster, Holkham, and Wells-next-the-Sea, each backed by pine woods and dunes that change with the light. Holkham Hall and its deer park are a short drive away, while the seal colonies at Blakeney Point offer a glimpse of wild Norfolk at its most magical. The area's walking and cycling are superb, with the Norfolk Coast Path and quiet country lanes waiting to be explored, and there are four bikes ready for you at the cottage. For family days out, there's Wells harbour with its colourful beach huts, Sandringham Estate for royal history, and birdwatching hotspots like Titchwell and Cley. Plum Tree Cottage puts you exactly where you want to be: surrounded by coast, countryside, and timeless Norfolk charm.
