Gors-lwyd Cottage is a welcoming holiday cottage on the stunning Llyn Peninsula, North West Wales. The two-bedroom property sleeps four people, giving couples, families and friends 5-Star accommodation in an unforgettable location.
The cottage is on the outskirts of the village of Llithfaen, but still within walking distance of the village pub, Tafarn y Fic and the local shop. You will find Gors-lwyd nestled at the base of Yr Eifl, the highest mountain on the Llyn Peninsula. It's perfect for walking and cycling in any season, with gorgeous beaches and the Snowdonia National Park only a short distance away. The owners have worked hard to create a welcoming place where you'll feel settled and relaxed as soon as you arrive.
The Llyn Peninsula is a paradise for walkers and nature lovers. The unspoiled landscape, protected as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, features incredible footpaths to places like Yr Eifl and Tre’r Ceiri, both of which are walks direct from the cottage doorstep. The region caters for all tastes, whether you enjoy mountain climbs and hill walks, coastal rambles, or strolls through the gentle countryside. Cycling and mountain biking are also very popular ways to explore, though you'll want to head a few miles east to Snowdonia for the huge mountain trails. Love beaches? You'll never want to leave! Gors-lŵyd is close to Nant Gwrtheyrn, Trefor, and Nefyn on the north coast of the Llyn Peninsula. Beaches on the south coast, including Pwllheli, Llanbedrog and Abersoch, are only 15-20 minutes away. There is huge scope for all watersports from swimming to surfing, coasteering, sailing and paddle boarding.
North Wales is famous not only for the scale of its scenery but also for its magnificent castles at Caernarfon, Conwy, Harlech and Beaumaris, all of which are within reach of Gors-lŵyd Cottage. Other historic buildings include Criccieth Castle, mostly a ruin but with stunning views, and the National Trust Penrhyn Castle, built as a fancy home rather than a fortress. Attractions for a day out include Portmeirion, the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, National Slate Museum, Zip World and Bounce Below. Take the heritage train to Snowdon's peak or book a boat trip to Bardsey Island. There's always something fun to do and fantastic to see, no matter what season you stay at Gors-lŵyd Cottage.
