Tudor Cottage is one of two lovely holiday cottages, providing an ideal country retreat within the unspoilt rolling countryside of North Wales. The cottages are in an enviable position, sitting at over 1000 feet and afford fantastic uninterrupted views over thirty miles of spectacular scenery.
Although secluded and peaceful, the holiday cottages are within easy reach of the A5 and centrally situated for exploring the Snowdonia National Park and the numerous attractions of North Wales including Ruthin; Chester; Snowdonia; langollen; Harlech; Anglesey and Betws-y-Coed - all within easy driving distance.
The cottages have been furnished and equipped to a very high standard of comfort and style and benefit from the shared use of a sauna and hot tub, providing the perfect way to unwind at the end of the day! Both cottages are entirely separate from each other; isolated from any road noise or neighbours and detached with their own private gardens and parking spaces. There is also a good size lake within the grounds, where guests can swim and relax with a diving jetty (deepest point is twelve foot) and two canoes for exploring the water - it is just a field away from the cottages and fenced off for safety.
Within the immediate area there are some beautiful walks starting from the front door, including a Bronzed Aged hill fort to climb, the Pilgrims Way and a large network of footpaths for both long and short walks. You can also explore the country lanes by bike or simply sit back and enjoy the fantastic scenery.
Bala is a fascinating town that is just fifteen minutes away by car with its narrow gauge lakeside steam railway and famous lake providing numerous activities including white water rafting, sailing, swimming, wind-surfing, fishing, mountain bike hire, riding and canoeing. The town has two supermarkets where you can stock up on provisions, many independent shops and plenty of good pubs, restaurants and takeaways.
The local pub/restaurant (The Goat) to the cottages is under ten minutes by car and offers a good atmosphere and a warm welcome. There is also a local garage/shop within a ten minute drive.
