Cryddion is the perfect coastal bolt-hole for two, sitting in the seaside village of Llansteffan - a well-kept secret on Carmarthenshire's beautiful south coast of Wales. Formerly the home of the local cobbler and later a wool shop, this delightful little cottage has been beautifully converted and offers the perfect marriage of original features and character, cleverly blended with stylish modern conveniences.
Encapsulated by lush rolling hills, Llansteffan sits in an enviable position on the sandy shores of the Tywi Estuary and whilst small (and exceptionally picturesque!), has two pubs for a meal out as well as a village shop for forgotten provisions and magnificent castle ruins that keep a watchful eye over the area.
Llansteffan is just perfect for those who want to tuck themselves away and enjoy walking, relaxing and sea air. The coastline and estuary setting is simply stunning and abundant with wildlife and opportunities for walking. Visit in the spring when the bluebells carpet the woods and the wild garlic gently floats in the air; or in the winter when you can blow the cob webs away then relax in front of the glow of the log burner.
Carmarthen's ancient town is within easy driving distance (less than ten miles) and offers a good array of eateries, shops and entertainment with a bowling alley, swimming pool in the leisure centre, cinema for taking in a movie, shops selling local arts and crafts and an indoor market.
Head further afield and within one hour's drive you can be discovering the beauty of the vast outdoor playground of the Brecon Beacons National Park; enjoying outdoor adventures on the Pembrokeshire Coast (the birthplace of coasteering with incredible water sports on offer); or relaxing on one of the stunning beaches of the Gower Peninsula.
Alternatively, just stay put and enjoy the little piece of Welsh paradise that is Llansteffan.

Outside: There is an attractive area to sit out at the front of the cottage - a lovely place for enjoying a glass of wine whilst listening to the soothing sound of the babbling stream running past. Off-road parking for one car is available.
Additional Information: Utilities are provided (radiators in the bedroom and living area and underfloor heating in the shower room) however please note this is on an allowance of £7 per day included in the price. This covers lighting, hot water and heating. Any cost above this allowance needs to be paid for by the guest, this can be rounded down to the nearest pound. There is a smart meter with a clearly visible display in the cottage which shows the daily usage, please check before your departure and leave the appropriate cash on the side or get in touch for bank details. The arrival day is not subject to this condition. Many thanks for your understanding.
Bed linen and towels are provided (please bring beach towels). A discount is offered for guests booking two consecutive weeks. Short breaks are possible outside of peak season, depending on availability. Smoking and pets are not permitted. Complimentary WiFi.
