The Coach House is a peaceful and comfortable holiday home for 2 to 5 people, has an open plan ground floor with comfortable lounge area where there is a freesat smart TV, dining area and a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, gas cooker, toaster, kettle and plenty of crockery, saucepans etc.
Upstairs on the first floor are a pretty double bedroom and a single bedroom, both have views across the cottage's private garden. There is also a shower/wc on this floor. A steep staircase leads to a huge attic bedroom which can either be two single beds or a super-kingsized double.
The cottage has full central heating and we supply bed linen and towels. Free wifi.
Outside, the large walled garden is mostly lawn with shrubs and trees. There is a wildlife pond and alongside the cottage is a terrace with garden table and chairs and a barbecue. *Because of the steep staircase and the pond we do not consider this cottage is suitable for families with small children.*
The cottage can be booked by the week or for part weeks starting on a Monday or Friday.
A former grooms' quarters and coach house and now a cosy, comfortable 3 bedroomed cottage standing in it's own large garden and adjoining Ty Cefn Tregib in the Towy Valley The Coach House is just one mile from Llandeilo, West Wales. Ty Cefn Tregib (which means "the house behind Tregib") was originally the home farm of the former Tregib Mansion. Surrounded by extensive gardens, woodland and grounds which our guests are always welcome to explore, with views across the old Tregib Mansion parkland and the Towy valley to the pretty little market town of Llandeilo on the hill opposite, Ty Cefn Tregib has the perfect location for relaxation, inspiration and tranquil contemplation. Owners Mary and John live on site and with their family, have been welcoming holiday makers for over 25 years. You can be assured of a warm welcome and plenty of helpful local information should you need it.
Surrounded by our own fields and woodland, there are walks directly from here to Tregib Woods nature reserve and along the Cib brook with it's rushing waterfalls. We have direct access to the brook where there is a small plunge pool for the brave hearted. A wonderful shady place on a hot summer's afternoon. Llandeilo town is only 20 minutes walk away along the road or across the fields, and has a wealth of interesting small shops and good eating places. Our nearest village, Ffairfach, is 10 mins walk and has 2 local pubs with wonderful atmosphere and good food.

We are perfectly placed for exploring - We have Ruined castles - Carreg Cennen and Dinefwr are both nearby and there are many more ruined castles all along the Towy valley to Llansteffan Castle on it's promontary above Llansteffan beach. Aberglasney gardens and the National Botanic Garden of Wales are about 10 minutes drive, NT Roman gold mines 20 minutes drive, You can walk to the National Trust Dinefwr park and Newton House. There are wonderful walks and cycling routes from the cottage, and further afield mountain biking tracks at Brechfa Forest. We can suggest other cycling and walking routes which are less well known. The Gower and Pembrokeshire beaches are accessible by car in less than an hour and the Carmarthenshire coast is even closer! Oakwood theme park is about 45 minutes drive

Easily accessible from the M4 motorway or via the A40, We have plenty of safe parking on site.
You can also come by train to Ffairfach station, a 10 minute walk away. (Links to Swansea or Shrewsbury)
Regular buses from Carmarthen or Swansea stop in Ffairfach or Llandeilo and link with National Express
PLEASE NOTE - we do not accept children under 8 years old because: There are steep paddle stairs from the first floor to the attic bedroom so not suitable for small children and those with limited mobility. There is also an unfenced pond in the garden.
