Jazzberry Cottage is a character holiday cottage that has recently been converted, equipped and furnished to a high standard of comfort and style. Located in an enviable position, in the heart of the Southern Lakes, here you can immerse yourself in the wide variety of attractions within the local area. Alternatively, lose yourself in the stunning surrounding countryside and woodland of the Rusland Valley and Furness Fells.
This is an ideal rural holiday retreat with modern and comfortable luxury accommodation throughout. Whilst being a traditional Lakeland cottage, it is more reminiscent of a contemporary hotel, with the 'cheeky cottage chic' styling proving a winning combination.
Jazzberry Cottage boasts all modern luxuries such as full central heating, waterfall shower, Italian Sofas and SKY HD television, yet still maintains the intimate feel of a character cosy cottage with a traditional fireplace, wood burning stove and original doors. Boasting two contemporary furnished bedrooms, the cottage sleeps four guests and is perfect for friends who want to spend some quality time together or a family holiday.
South West Cumbria and the Southern Lakes offer the best of both worlds – beautiful quiet open countryside yet within easy reach of the popular tourist destination and attractions of the Lake District. There are too many family days out to mention but they include: the South Lakes Animal Park at nearby Dalton; either the Eskdale miniature railway or Haverthwaite Steam Trains; Muncaster Castle with its owl sanctuary and adventure playground; The Lakes Aquarium; boat trips on Windermere or Coniston Water, along with plenty of watersports; Furness Abbey; the award winning gardens of Holker Hall; The Beatrix Potter Gallery and Grizedale Forest with it's sculpture trails, way marked mountain bike tracks and Go Ape high wire rope course.
For those who enjoy the great outdoors, there are plenty of leisure activities nearby including lake swimming at Fell Foot, fishing, golfing, adrenalin sports, horse riding and canoeing. Several walks can be made straight from Jazzberry’s front door, along paths and tracks threading the fells and woodlands creating endless opportunities to explore the area by foot. Alternatively just potter around and enjoy the atmosphere of the picturesque and ancient local villages with their winding streets, pretty cottages and historic buildings; or take a leisurely boat trip on a Lakeland Steam Cruise.
This part of the Lakes has so much to offer with some of England’s most beautiful scenery on your doorstep. With a huge range of tourist attractions, leisure activities and historical sites, you are sure to want to return time and time again.

The lounge leads out to the decked yard area, which is perfect for a glass of wine or why not wander up to the park for a sundowner overlooking the Leven Valley.
Additional information: A 'zed bed' can be provided for the fifth guest - for use in the lounge or master bedroom. The cottage has a small decked yard area, however this leads out onto the A590 and the front door leads directly onto the road. The fact that the roads are a danger to children and that the cottage is split over three levels with an open staircase means the owners would not recommend the cottage to families with young children. Dogs are welcome (up to two) but again anyone bringing dogs must ensure they are on a lead before leaving the property. Cleaning, linen, bath mats, hand/bath towels, tea towels, heat, light and unlimited hot water are included in the rental. All essential items such as toilet roll, dishwasher tablets, cleaning items and essential store cupboard ingredients (sugar, condiments etc) are also provided. The only extra charge is for dogs £15 and fuel for the fire, which can be pre-ordered or purchased locally.
