Orrest Head House one of the first houses to be built in Windermere Village shares over 2 acres of private grounds with Orrest Head Cottage (which is also available to rent).
This 5-star House sleeps up to 14 in 6 ensuite bedrooms.
Included in many stand-out features is Josiah Brown’s, your very own bar. Bring your own drinks, ring first orders and let the party commence.
The kitchen is the heart of this house, here you’ll find a large breakfast table, central island with stools and a great cooking space. The kitchen is equipped with everything you’ll need to create an outstanding dinner party.
Adjacent to the kitchen is a snug with leather sofas and a TV, it’s a great space for the kids in you party to wind down or a smaller group to chill while still feeling part of the group.
The dining room seats up to 18 and is the perfect space to host a special dinner party.
The lounge has huge leather Chesterfield sofas set around a wood burning stove to keep you cosy at night. The room also has a large Smart TV.
Upstairs there are 6 ensuite bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have in bedroom baths which look over the gardens. The Loft (opening late May 2026) is our latest showpiece. This room is packed with history, it features a king-size bed and a superb ensuite with a freestanding bath and a separate shower unit.
Outside there are extensive grounds. To the front of the house there is a large patio with outside furniture, sheltered by a huge verandah, which has views over the garden. The rear of the house has direct access on to the fabulous Orrest Head Walk. It takes about 20 minutes to the top, where you’ll find the most amazing views of the Lake District National Park.
We welcome milestone birthdays, family get-togethers and girls getaways.
