1 Bedford Mews sleeps up to five guests in three bedrooms and is ideally placed in a quiet position right at Sheringham's heart on the Norfolk coast. A popular seaside town, Sheringham offers a great range of independent shops, pubs, restaurants, cafes, an indoor swimming pool (with wave machine and slides) and a lovely Blue Flag beach with a nice mix of sand to lay your towel and rock pools which the kids will love exploring. It is also home to the much loved 'Poppy Line' heritage steam railway and an excellent links golf course for those who enjoy a game.
Comfy and welcoming, this mews-style cottage sits in a quiet position, yet has everything within a five minute stroll. Nicely presented throughout, accommodation is well-equipped for self-catering, providing a good base for exploring the many attractions of Norfolk or simply enjoying a lazy holiday by the sea.
For those who want to explore there are plenty of great days out. Hop on the train and enjoy a scenic journey to the Georgian Market town of Holt with an excellent selection of galleries, shops selling antiques, clothes and gifts, and Bakers and Larners food hall. Spend your days strolling around the National Trust properties of Sheringham Park (just outside the town), Blickling Hall (the former residence of Ann Boleyn) or Felbrigg Hall. Treat the kids to a day out at BeWILDerwood (sure to be a holiday highlight) or enjoy more of the coastline and visit the coastal villages of Holkham, Brancaster and the harbour town of Wells-next-the-Sea with its pretty colourful beach huts. Cromer (famed for its crabs) is another popular place to visit on the coast, as is Morston Quay where you can take a boat trip to Blakeney Point to see the seals. With such an impressive coastline, it is hardly surprising that Norfolk has been voted for having some of the world's best beaches!
Norfolk has a busy events calendar during the warmer months with festivals and concerts to enjoy such a Blickling Hall for music lovers, the Carnival at Wells and Holt Festival to name just a few. It also offers a taste of city life with Norwich packed full of history, culture and shops within easy driving distance.
Whatever you desire, whether you explore Norfolk by foot, bike, car, the Coasthopper bus or boat, 1 Bedford Mews is well located for enjoying the many attractions and places of interest that this lovely part of Norfolk has to offer, or simply relaxing by the sea.
