About Wisteria

Wisteria is a welcoming holiday cottage in the North Norfolk village of Briningham. It sits on three-quarters of an acre and sleeps four people in two bedrooms with an open plan living area and a conservatory. It's close to the owner's 500-acre farm with fantastic views, rural walks, and beautiful beaches are within easy reach. Couples and families, including those with dogs, always feel welcome here. The owners have thought of everything for your self-catering holiday, so all you need to bring is food, your bucket and spade, and an appreciation for comfort.

Briningham is a peaceful village with a handful of houses and a medieval church. It is ideal if you're looking for a rural escape but also want to be close to the North Norfolk Coast. Beautiful beaches like Brancaster, Cromer, Holkham, and Sheringham are only a short drive from the door, with incredible views in all seasons. Cromer is well-known for its 151-metre long Victorian pier, traditional seaside entertainments, and fresh crab and lobster. Norfolk is great for cycling as well as walking. Follow the North Norfolk Coast Cycleway or explore further afield along the Weaver's Way, Peddar's Way, and Marriott's Way.

There is so much to do when you stay at Wisteria that you may find yourself booking a second visit just to fit everything in. The beaches are spectacular, but there is a lot more than just the coast that attracts people here. Stately homes include Felbrigg, Blickling, Holkham, Oxburgh, Houghton and, the grandest of them all, Sandringham. Family-friendly attractions like beWILDerwood and the Dinosaur Adventure Park make it simple to entertain children. There's always Norwich if you want a full day of shopping, sightseeing and eating. Nature lovers can see the biggest colony of grey seals in England and some of the most significant numbers and species of migratory birds. Holt market is handy for groceries and local delicacies, as are the traditional markets at Aylsham, Fakenham and Reepham.

Wisteria is available all year round for holidays to provide a welcoming and comfortable base to enjoy the beauty of North Norfolk.

Accommodation Comprises:

Wisteria is a pretty cottage named after the wisteria gracing its sunny east-facing wall. It has oil-fired central heating and WiFi throughout. Bed linen and bath towels are provided.

  • Open plan living/dining room and kitchen with a practical tiled floor and glazed doors sliding open onto the patio. The living room has two sofas, an armchair, and a TV. A solid wood dining table seats four.
  • Fitted kitchen well-equipped with the owner's expertise as a professional chef. Integrated appliances make good use of the space, which is wonderfully light thanks to dual-aspect windows. It is a lovely place to prepare meals.
  • A tiled conservatory provides a second reception space and a quiet spot with a view.
  • Utility and boot room with laundry and cleaning facilities.
  • An east-facing master suite has a double bed, built-in storage, and an ensuite with a shower, WC and a handbasin.
  • The second bedroom is furnished with two single beds and has an ensuite with a bath, shower, WC and a handbasin.

Outside: The enclosed plot is three-quarters of an acre with established gardens, a large lawn, a patio with seating, and off-street parking.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and WiFi are included. Two dogs are welcome, possibly more by arrangement with the owner. The cottage is strictly non-smoking.
