Waterside Retreat is a large, detached property sleeping up to eleven guests in five bedrooms and sits in an enviable position just off the River Bure in the very heart of one of the Norfolk Broads most popular villages, Wroxham. It is an perfect retreat for those who enjoy fishing, sailing/watersports and wildlife with an abundance of birds to see. Ideal at any time of the year, guests can enjoy all the facilities required for self-catering, with the added bonus of a rowing dinghy for use during the holiday to explore the magical waterways.
Wroxham (on the right hand side of the river) and Hoveton (on the left) are split by the River Bure with both villages normally coming under the 'banner' of Wroxham, one of the busiest centres for hiring boats in the Norfolk Broads.
Known as the capital of the Broads, Wroxham is the place that boating holidays first started towards the end of the 1800's. It has gained popularity over the years and has much to offer holiday makers in the village with hotels, pubs and tea rooms near the river. There are a good choice of shops, with the most famous being Roys of Wroxham, possibly the country's largest village store.
Visitors will find pubs, restaurants and boat hire along the river, whilst sandy beaches, golf courses, National Trust properties and nature trails are all within just fifteen miles. The attractive cathedral city of Norwich is also within easy reach (just twelve miles) and boasts galleries, superb shopping, plenty of places to eat, theatres and a castle.

Waterside Retreat accommodates up to eleven guests and offers comfortable holiday accommodation that is ideal for couples or families. It is in an enviable position with a waterside garden from which you can enjoy fishing or feeding the ducks and swans.
Accommodation and facilities comprise of:
Outside: Guests have an enclosed garden to enjoy in the summer months. The garden at the back of the property has a large quay headed mooring basin, along with a sunny decked terrace where you can sit and soak up the atmosphere whilst enjoying a glass of wine. You can access the dyke and from there access the main river. There is off-road parking for several vehicles.
Additional information: Bed linen, electricity and central heating included within the price. Guests have the use of rowing dinghy. Please note that the property affords a close position to the water so children must be supervised. Well-behaved dogs (two maximum) are welcome, additional charges apply. The owners will sometimes consider other pets, please ask. Short breaks may be available - please enquire with owner. EV charging is available, at extra cost.
