A stroll into the friendly market town of Brampton and Gelt Woods with beautiful Talkin Tarn, Hadrian’s Wall and RSPB Geltsdale all nearby. Not to mention being surrounded by 3 areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty; The North Pennies with it sweeping moorland views, such as those from Geltsdale RSPB Bird Reserve just 3 miles away, as well as impressive, tumbling waterfalls, including England’s biggest – High Force in Teesdale under an hour’s drive from Brampton. It is also just an hour by car to the of Arnside and Sliverdale Area of Outstanding National Beauty, which is famous for its amazing wildlife, stunning scenery, and superb walks. In addition, The Solway as well as Dumfries & Galloway Coast areas are also easily accessible with their sand dunes, wildlife and breathtaking views. The perfect central location for walkers, cyclists, small families and couples.

Perfect for walkers, cyclists, couples and small families.
The cottage sleeps 4 in 2 double bedrooms, each with a king-sized beds and high quality linen and towels. One king-sized bed can split into two small singles (2ft 6") if required.
The bathroom is beautifully tiled, with P shaped bath, electric shower (over the bath) hand basin and toilet.
A well equipped kitchen, with oven, hob, microwave, slow cooker, washing machine, tumble dryer, small under the counter fridge freezer, kettle and toaster. As well as a wide range of pans, dishes, dinning plates and utensils provided.
Spacious, bright living and dinning area with beautiful open views across the back garden and fields behind. Perfect for relaxing with a cosy multi-fuel stove and T.V. Remember to check out the guest book provided here, the many wonderful reviews from past guests and add your own before you leave (guests have also added many of these direct onto our website). There are a few examples in the photo gallery here.
Good WiFi, generally sufficient for both entertainment and those combining working from home with their holiday. In the hall cupboard there is also a small supply of books and boardgames for those cosy, family nights in. One step down into the porch and you are in this warm, sunny area , the perfect place to quietly relax and enjoy that morning coffee.
We find that when small families visit they prefer to bring their own travel cot and bedding, if required. Although, we are happy to provide a small baby bath and high chair, if requested in advance.
Accessibility: Please note there are study handrails up both entrance steps where you will find level access to all rooms in the bungalow, with just one step in/out of the side porch/kitchen area. There is also a shower which is over the P shaped bath. Please check our photo's, accessibility guidance on our website or just ask if further details are required.
The large lawned garden has a gradual incline with paths around the bungalow (one step up/down as you walk along) and a storage shed for bikes, toys and recycling. The sun trap patio has one step up and provides the perfect place for outdoor relaxing and dinning over the summer months.
