Topped off by a hot tub in the garden, and a highly desirable location close to the famous arch of Durdle Door, and Lulworth Cove on Dorset's World Heritage Jurassic Coast, this delightful dog-friendly retreat is perfect for a self-catering family holiday or get together with friends.
The cottage sits in Chaldon Herring, a pretty Dorset village just two miles from the coast and within easy driving distance of popular attractions including the Tank Museum in Bovington, Monkey World, Poole with its busy harbour, the traditional seaside town of Weymouth, the historic market town of Wareham and the village of Wool. There is an excellent village pub (the Sailors Return) which serves a pint of exceptionally good ale and food locally sourced - all at a reasonable price, making eating out both a pleasure and affordable.
The surrounding area has fantastic walks with the South West Coastal Path being directly accessible from the front door offering miles of walking with wonderful seascapes along the way. Walk to Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove for a dip (under two hours) or take the car, a blanket and a picnic and make a day of it (a five minute drive and only three miles away).

Well House was formerly the residence of Elizabeth Muntz, an eminent Sculptress who's artistic flair still shines throughout the property today. The cottage sits along a quiet no-through road that eventually becomes a track leading onto the coastal path where you can walk to the cliffs and beyond to explore the coastline. One of the oldest properties in the village, Well House is only a short stroll to the Sailor's Return, allowing you to cook in or stroll out for supper.

Outside: Guests have a big garden with plenty of space to play, relax and BBQ including outside seating, log cabin, BBQ area and a hot tub to relax your aches away at the end of the day. There is plenty of parking for up to seven vehicles.
Additional information: Dogs welcome (a small charge applies). Central heating, a log burner and Aga keep the cottage warm all year round. WiFi internet access throughout. Short breaks available by arrangement with the owner. Prices include heating, bed linen, electricity and towels.
