Right in the heart of Purbeck, this stylish holiday home provides all the right ingredients for a relaxing break and a great self-catering base for exploring the areas many attractions.  The RSPB Nature Reserve at Arne, from where the BBC Springwatch is broadcast, is very close by.

This elegant holiday home has five bedrooms and can accommodate up to 12 people with ease, providing a quiet base that is within walking distance of the beach, shops, pubs and attractions in Weymouth. It's a fantastic choice for families or friends who love not only its convenient location but also its huge garden with a deck for entertaining, original features that include an open fireplace, and high quality of furnishings that make it feel like a welcoming second home.

Within easy reach of the spectacular World Heritage Coast, this historic Grade II listed holiday home sits in the wing of a farmhouse and affords excellent facilities including the use of a hot tub and swimming pool. A remote picturesque position only two miles from Abbotsbury and perfect for discovering the natural beauty of Dorset.

A 17th Century character cottage located in an enviable position on a quiet foopath leading down to the Abbotsbury's Swannery and Chesil beach. Overlooking St Catherine's chapel. Own parking bay. Abbotsbury has excellent amenities including a village shop, pubs, farm shop, tea rooms, fishing tackle shop, artisan studios, pick your own flowers are all a short stroll away. The award winning Sub-Tropical gardens are a must. A walkers paradise. SW coast path, Macmillan Way and the Ridgeway on your doorstep or find your own way along the many local footpaths.The beaches of Weymouth and West Bay are within 9 miles and Lyme Regis and Bournemouth a little further afield. A short walk from Dorset’s Jurassic coastline you will find Upper Westfield, a first floor self-catering apartment in the picturesque village of Puncknowle.  It is the only holiday let in our home (we live on the other side of the house).  Having your own private entrance gives guests the independence to come and go as you please with the added comfort of having us nearby should you have any questions on the area’s many attractions and seasonal events. There is lots of information in the apartment regarding places to visit.  Some of our past guests’ favourites include:  Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens, Abbotsbury Swannery, Hive beach, Weymouth beach, Lulworth Cove, Monkey World, Symondsbury Cafe with Colmers Hill and nearby mysterious sunken lanes, St Catherine’s Chapel, and Weymouth Oceanarium. The accommodation comprises of: A large open plan living area for relaxing, dining and cooking, ideal for being together while performing different tasks.  Take in the beautiful countryside views across the valley from the Juliette balcony.There is a wide selection of DVDs, puzzles, books, board games for all ages.There is a T.V. with built-in DVD player and Google Chromecast and a Bluetooth player.The kitchen has an electric hob and oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetière, fridge, freezer and is well equipped with utensils and crockery. The double bedroom has the bathroom next door.The twin bedroom has its own en-suite shower room.Both the bathroom and the ensuite shower room have wall mirrors with mood lighting.  There is a large walk-in power shower in the ensuite. We offer an option of having access to a third bedroom (single bed) with use of a sauna.  This room is also an ideal space to be used as a workstation as it has a desk and is separate from the main apartment area.  This is offered at an additional £30 per night. There is plenty of parking available in our front driveway and there is an EV charger. We welcome one well-behaved small dog, by prior consent, for an additional £10 per stay. You are welcome to use the front garden and there is a separate section of the rear garden for your sole use, where there is a table with umbrella and chairs.  Through the wooden gate leads you into the little orchard where there is more seating and a Buddha among the mature damson, pear and apple trees.  We have a further two fields at the bottom of the garden where sometimes the local farmer puts his sheep to graze. Included is a family pass (2 adults, 2 children) to the local animal park which also has an indoor play area.  This is a 5 minute drive away. We provide a generous welcome pack of provisions to get you settled (which can be adapted to meet any allergy requirements). We also provide towels, a hairdryer, toilet paper, kitchen roll, tissues, washing up liquid, and hand wash. The thatched village pub, The Crown, is a 5 minute stroll down the lane. We look forward to welcoming you to Upper Westfield.    

Lorton House is an elegant Victorian country house with loads of space for up to 18 people, multiple reception rooms and 16 private acres of grounds. It's a luxurious self-catering property for big groups in Weymouth, just three miles from the beach, harbour and town centre, and ideal whether you are getting together with friends to celebrate a milestone event or catching up with your extended family. There is a pub less than two miles away, and you don't have to leave the grounds to enjoy a leisurely walk through woods and parkland. Durdle Door, the SEA LIFE Adventure Park and Portland Bill lighthouse are all nearby, as is the Jurassic Coast and places like Dorchester and Lyme Regis. A self contained annex is also available at an extra cost of £100 per night bringing the total number of guests to 18.   Accessibility - There are 2 steps up to the front door and a ramp is available for these.  The ground floor bedroom has an en-suite shower room and there is a lip of 3 inches to enter the shower cubicle.
