About Harbour View

Harbour View will have your friends and family green with envy over your holiday snaps. This holiday home nestled between Sandbanks, Poole and Bournemouth is set over four floors and boasts a contemporary style with superb views of Poole Harbour. It's in the quiet area of Lower Parkstone, and you will find bars, cafes, shops, pubs and restaurants 10 minutes walk away in Ashley Cross. With modern furnishings and high-quality finishes throughout, it sleeps seven people in three bedrooms with a layout that works well for families, extended families and friends. The owners use it for their own holidays, so you can rely on it being fully equipped for a relaxed, self-catering holiday.

Poole is a fantastic place for a fun holiday in any season. It's a busy harbour town with lots to see and do. Local attractions include Poole Quay, Poole Park, Upton Country Park, Compton Acres, Splashdown waterpark, and Poole's Lighthouse Centre for Arts. You can go surfing, windsurfing, kiteboarding, paddleboarding, kayaking, and sailing. Take a ferry trip to Brownsea Island, or a sightseeing boat tour. Even a drink in a harbour front bar or cafe is a treat when the view is this good.

The fun doesn't stop at Poole as the south coast is packed with activities and attractions that appeal to every age. Set up your deckchair on Sandbanks, just five minutes from Harbour View, or head to Studland Bay. Bournemouth is six miles east of Poole, with a fantastic pier, sandy beach, and traditional seaside entertainment. Take the kids to Monkey World, admire the gardens at National Trust Kingston Lacy, visit the spectacular Corfe Castle, ride the Swanage Steam train or get your adrenaline racing over the incredible collections at Beaulieu Motor Museum. The New Forest National Park is less than half an hour's drive from your holiday home, with heaths and forests connected by quaint villages and picturesque towns. You are also within easy reach of the Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage Site, Studland Bay, Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, and the Isle of Purbeck. Walking and cycling are always popular, whether along the coast or inland through the scenic Dorset countryside.

Harbour View is popular in all seasons and holiday bookings are available all year round. Many guests also choose to make the most of the quieter months between October and March where you can still visit all the fabulous attractions whilst also benefitting from lower rates and less crowds. The Christmas Market and light display in Bournemouth's Lower Gardens is highly recommended, as is the fabulous ice rink and festive pantomimes at the Bournemouth Pavilion.

Accommodation Comprises:

Harbour View is a modern townhouse decorated in a contemporary style to appeal to guests of all ages.

Lower Ground:

  • Although the main entrance is on the ground floor, there is an entrance from the secure car park on this level - handy if you've got shopping to unload or it's raining.
  • Utility room with a sink, washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.

Ground Floor:

  • Steps lead from the road to the front door which opens into a welcoming entrance hallway that leads into the open plan living room and kitchen/diner.
  • Contemporary kitchen with integrated appliances that include a dishwasher, stylish quartz worktops, and drawers and cupboards stocked with equipment and utensils to cook and serve meals for seven hungry guests at the frosted glass dining table.
  • Seating area with a large sofa, 55-inch Smart TV with free Netflix access, and a bookcase stocked with books, information about the local area, puzzles and games. The house has convenient USB ports where you can charge your phones and other smart equipment. Glass doors open onto the south-facing terrace with harbour views.

First Floor:

  • Central spiral staircase leading to the first-floor landing and two bedrooms.
  • Large bedroom with a kingsize and a single bed to accommodate small families or friends. There is loads of storage, a wall-mounted TV with a DVD player, and a range of toys for younger guests. Doors open onto a covered balcony with a glass balustrade, furniture, and fantastic views of Poole Harbour.
  • Bedroom at the rear of the house overlooking the courtyard. It has a double bed, proper storage and a Smart TV. All bedrooms have blackout blinds.
  • A luxurious Jack-and-Jill shower room is between the bedrooms, with a shower, heated towel rail, WC and a hand basin.

Top Floor:

  • Huge master bedroom suite taking up the entire top floor and furnished with a super-kingsize (6ft-wide) bed, fitted wardrobes, and a wall mounted TV with firestick (giving access to Netflix and iplayer). There is a private balcony facing Poole Harbour with chairs for you to relax and enjoy the view.
  • Spacious ensuite with a deep bath, separate shower, heated towel rail, WC and a handbasin.

Outside: The townhouse benefits from a sunny south-facing terrace with gorgeous views. There’s also, outdoor seating perfect for alfresco dining as well as comfortable seating for lounging. There is a small enclosed courtyard at the rear. The house comes with a secure underground parking for one car, with more parking available on the street. The car park is also ideal for those wishing to store safely expensive water sport equipment or bicycles.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are all included. Guests to bring beach towels. Smoking and pets are not permitted. Short breaks are available outside of school summer holidays, when discounts are also offered for couples and stays over 7 nights. Saturday is the preferred arrival day during school holidays.
