Escape to Dorset and enjoy a farm holiday. Our secluded comfy static home located in the Orchard at Strongate Farm, Salway Ash, a 10 minute drive from the vibrant town of Bridport, famous for it's twice weekly street market, and the Jurassic coastline at West Bay. The cabin is ideal for both a family or couples, its a perfect base for relaxing, recharging batteries & exploring Dorset. Large green space for ball games and room for children to explore and kick a football etc. The Orchard is peaceful and with a bridleway through the farm you can enjoy a walk on your doorstep any time of day. Spring water.
The Cabin sleeps 4 and travel cot and highchair are also available. Two bedrooms, both with wardrobes, one bedroom has a double bed and the second two smaller singles. All bedlinen and towels are included. Bathroom with shower cubicle and separate toilet. Galley style kitchen with gas cooker opening up to the large lounge with electric fire, comfy sofa, smart TV, with views of the orchard and it is likely there will be animals in the field next door. Decking area so you can enjoy eating outside if you wish, BBQ and firepit also on site. Parking close by.
We are located within Dorset's Natural landscape which is both scenic & tranquil. The vibrant market town of Bridport, with many independent shops and a wonderful antique quarter is a 10 minute drive away. The closest beach is at West Bay, famous for it's Jurassic coastline and stunning cliffs showcased in the ITV series Broadchurch. Eype beach is more secluded and is the next beach along the coastline, where further West you will also find Charmouth (great for fossil hunting and rock pools at low tide) and also Lyme Regis, a charming seaside town nestled along the stunning Jurassic Coast.
There is plenty to see, do and explore during your stay. Portland castle and Weymouth with it's beautiful sandy beach are well worth a visit, Corfe Castle ruins with it's breath-taking views across Purbeck. Charming Dorset villages of Abbotsbury and Burton Bradstock to name just a couple, with plenty of tea rooms to indulge in a Dorset cream tea. Further afield (and within an hour of Strongate) you will find Monkey World, an ape rescue centre, and also The Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth.
