Glebe Cottage is a charming home-away-from-home with a traditional thatched roof. With three bedrooms and an enclosed garden, it can comfortably accommodate a family of up to four and is also perfect for couples or groups of friends who want to spend time exploring the gorgeous Dorset coast and countryside.
Glebe Cottage is in Bloxworth, a small village that feels peaceful and secluded yet which is convenient for the A35 and close to Wareham Forest and Poole. The village church, St Andrew’s, dates from the 14th Century and is renowned for the carol concert it holds every December. Wareham, Wool and Moreton are a short drive away, where you will find a wide variety of great pubs, independent shops, and fantastic walks and scenery. Fishing, cycling, horse riding and golf are also nearby, and you can even try your hand at coasteering or sailing.
Bloxworth sits nestled between the Dorset AONB, Purbeck Heritage Coast and Jurassic Coast (a World Heritage Site) making it a very comfortable base to explore everything this wonderful region has to offer. A day at the beach could take you to Weymouth, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, Chesil Beach, Bournemouth, or Studland Beach and Nature Reserve. Head inland and discover Dorchester, Wimborne and Blandford Forum. Bovington Tank Museum is a fun and fascinating experience where, if you time your visit right, you can ride in an ATV, while Monkey World is a favourite with children.
Whether your perfect day features ice-cream and sandcastles, solitude and bird watching, or shopping and fantastic food, Glebe Cottage puts you in the heart of the best in the area.

Accommodation is spread over two floors. There is a double bedroom and family bathroom downstairs which makes it suitable for those with limited mobility.
Accommodation comprises:
Downstairs is taken up by the living area, kitchen, bathroom and a double bedroom.
Upstairs: are further two bedrooms, both with radiators heated by the oil-fuelled central heating.
Outside: There is off street parking for two cars and a large enclosed rear garden with garden furniture for outdoor meals in the sunshine.
Additional information: The cottage is centrally heated throughout. There is a washing machine, iron and ironing board. All bed linen is provided (please bring your own towels) and a maid service can be arranged if required. One well-behaved dog is allowed by prior agreement. The property is not suitable for children under 8-years old. No smoking. Short breaks are available between September and April depending on availability.
Glebe Cottage is accessible by public transport if you take a taxi from Wareham, Wool or Moreton train stations (around 6 miles).
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO TAKE ANY NEW BOOKINGS AT THE PRESENT TIME. WE WILL REOPEN FOR NEW BOOKINGS ON 19TH MARCH 2024. There is a dining table and dining chairs in the sitting room. Please note that Glebe Cottage no longer has a garage for the use of guests. There is however plenty of off road parking.
