About Strongate View Apartment

Strongate View Apartment is located within the village of Salway Ash, a 10 minute drive north of Bridport. The cosy Apartment is rated 4* by Visit England and has a wonderful countryside view of the Marshwood Vale from the lounge. It offers a perfect escape to the Country, ideal for a both couples or solo traveller at any time of the year. An additional single fold out bed is also available (best suited to a young child) .

Within a mile of the Apartment we have the award winning Furleigh Estate Vineyard and also Dorset Nectar Cider Orchard, both of which offer tours and have tasting rooms. We are located within Dorset's Natural Landscape and the vibrant market town of Bridport, with it's twice weekly street market and antiques quarter is a 10 minute drive away. The Jurassic Coastline and harbour of West Bay is just beyond Bridport and our is our nearest beach along with Eype, which is more secluded. Dorset's coastline can be both romantic and invigorating, there are plenty of beaches to choose from! The coastal village of Charmouth is great for fossil hunting and Lyme Regis, famous as the birthplace of Mary Anning, is well worth a visit during your stay.

Bridport is surrounded by charming villages, with country pubs, and both countryside and coastal walks aplenty. If you wish to travel further afield you will find Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, one of Dorset's most famous landmarks which is under an hour away by car. Swanage heritage railway offers the chance to explore 6 miles of Dorset scenery by steam train is also a highlight, passing the ruins of Corfe Castle on route.

I live at Strongate View and can be contacted at any time. I was brought up on a farm nearby and adore our location, it's a lovely area and there is nowhere else I’d rather be. You're welcome to bring your dog (additional £20) and we have an outside shower for their use.
