The Barn is a luxurious holiday home on Lower Harton Farm in the beautiful Dartmoor National Park. It's huge, with four spacious ensuite bedrooms that sleep up to 10 guests, as well as a heated indoor swimming pool and a games room. It's the perfect self-catering place where friends or families can gather and enjoy spending time together without any of the distractions or stresses of everyday life.
Lower Harton Farm sits on 16 private acres of prime Devon countryside. You could easily spend your entire holiday walking around the grounds, lazing by the swimming pool, lingering and catching up over meals, and having competitive fun at the pool table or table tennis - things you don't typically have time for between work and weekend activities. However, if you can drag yourself away from the house, then you'll find a stunning landscape with beautiful walks, miles of bridleways and cycling routes, and a diverse choice of outdoor activities that include golf, horse-riding and climbing. An excellent orientation walk goes through The Cleave, two miles from The Barn through natural woodland and picturesque countryside. Other routes include the famous Templars Way, and walks through Pullabrook Woods, Yarner Woods, Becky Falls, Haytor and Hound Tor. The Exe Valley Way and the South West Coast Path are also within easy reach, while cyclists can test their endurance on The Granite Way, The Exe Estuary Trail, and Dartmoor Way.
The Barn is just outside of the village of Lustleigh and close to Bovey Tracey. Local attractions include The House of Marbles and Haldon Forest. Exeter is 15 miles and a 30-minute drive away with lots of places to eat, drink and shop as well as a magnificent cathedral. If city lights don't float your boat, then Exmouth is only 30 miles away with sailing clubs and boat tours that will give you a different perspective of Devon's stunning coastline. And speaking of beaches, Torquay, Paignton and the rest of the English Riviera is just over half an hour's drive from The Barn and well within reach for a day at the seaside.
You're sure to have a fantastic time when you holiday at The Barn, no matter what time of year you visit. The owners have created a fantastic space where people can relax in comfortably luxurious surroundings, close to some of the best sights and attractions Dartmoor has to offer.

The Barn is a contemporary holiday home that has been finished and furnished to a high standard to offer luxurious accommodation for friends and families (children welcome but there is a huge unprotected pond and bog garden at the back of the barn that is a hazard to young children. Please enquire from Sue or Roger for more information). Accommodation is split over two levels.

Outside: The Barn sits in 16 acres of land which includes an enormous decked terrace, part of which is covered, where there is a barbecue and garden furniture. The garden has deep unprotected water which makes it unsuitable for children under 10. There is off-street parking for several cars.
Additional Information: All utilities, WiFi, sheets and bath towels are provided. Short breaks (minimum of 4 nights) are possible, depending on availability. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome through prior arrangement (at an additional charge of £20 per dog per week). Smoking indoors is not permitted.
