Albaston Farm Barn sleeps up to eight guests in three bedrooms and is ideally placed in the beautiful Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just a short distance from the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Within easy reach of both Cornwall's north and south coasts and also Devon, guests have a wealth of attractions within easy driving distance providing great days out.
Dartmoor National Park is a vast outdoor playground with an abundance of opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. Wonderful walks, pretty lanes for gentle bike rides, forest tracks and trails for mountain bikers and caves to explore are just some of the activities on offer. Alternatively explore the pretty quaint villages that pepper the moorland where you will see the wild ponies roam freely. Bodmin Moor is also within easy reach and whilst smaller, has very similar appeal in terms of wonderful walks, wild ponies and plentiful attractions.
You will be spoilt for choice when choosing where to visit for a day by the sea. Head to the dramatic north coast with its vast open sandy beaches which offer great opportunities for water sports enthusiasts; or the pretty harbour towns and coves of the south coast. Both coastlines offer superb opportunities for walkers with the South West Coastal path to explore, covering some six hundred and thirty miles of stunning seascape and countryside. There are also traffic free cycle routes including the popular Camel Trail from Wadebridge to Padstow.
For those who want to visit some of the South West's top attractions, spend a day at the Eden Project or the Lost Gardens of Heligan or alternatively stay closer to home and enjoy a boat trip or canoeing on the River Tamar or visit Tavistock which offers a nice selection of shops and places to eat.
