The Stables Cottage is a romantic bolthole five minutes from the Peak District National Park with beautiful countryside walks from the front door. Couples love the easy mix of character and comfort, with the owners seamlessly blending features like thick oak beams and underfloor heating to create a luxurious escape with beautiful views of the Pennine Hills and Staffordshire Moorlands from the garden.
The cottage is in the village of North Rode. It's a friendly community with a peaceful atmosphere that belies its proximity to excellent road links which make it easy to explore the area, putting places like Stoke-on-Trent, Chester and Manchester within reach for a day of shopping and sightseeing.
Closer to home, there is plenty to keep visitors happy. The Peak District National Park is close by, with miles of beautiful walks and cycling routes, while the Cheshire Cycle Route makes it simple to navigate the countryside. Other activities include clay pigeon shooting, go-karting, golf, and birdwatching at Tittesworth Reservoir.
Nearby historic sites include Chatsworth House, Arley Hall and Gardens, Chester Cathedral, the Anderton Canal, Cholmondeley Castle Gardens, Eyam plague village, and the Macclesfield Silk Museum. Relax on a spa day at Crewe Hall or the award-winning Devonshire Dome, get your thrills at Alton Towers, take in a show at the Buxton Opera House, or pick up a stylish bargain at Cheshire Oaks designer shopping outlet.

Accommodation at The Stables Cottage is on one level with parking next to the building and no stairs. Underfloor heating keeps the cottage feeling warm and welcoming all year round.
Outside: Guests can recline on the sunny patio, enjoying an evening drink or breakfast to the sound of birdsong. They also have use of the shared gardens around the house. A barbecue and bike storage are both available.
Additional information: All utilities, WiFi, cotton bed linen (please note that linen for the cot is not provided) and towels are provided. Short breaks are possible depending on availability. No Smoking. Pets by arrangement with the owner.
