Honeysuckle Cottage sleeps up to four guests (plus baby) and is one of three holiday homes that are ideally located in the desirable pretty New Forest village of Burley. Well presented, each cottage offers a warm welcome with lots of traditional character and charm. Honeysuckle Cottage is located adjacent to Oakapple Cottage (which sleeps eight guests) and both can be rented together to accommodate large parties of up to twelve guests. Foxglove Cottage (sleeps eight) is also close by (just seventy metres) for parties of up to twenty, having wide appeal to families and friends who want to holiday together whilst enjoying a good degree of personal space.
Burley sits in the very heart of the New Forest and is exceptionally appealing due to its convenient location (both by car and accessible via train from London) and picturesque setting. Offering everything you would hope for in a picturesque forest village, Burley provides a host of amenities, all just a short stroll from the cottages. Hire a bike from the village and cycle the pretty leafy lanes and forest tracks; explore the forest by horse back - a wonderful way to take in the scenery and see the wild ponies in their natural environment; enjoy long leisurely lunches in the restaurants and traditional pubs or a cream tea in the tea rooms; wander the independent gift and craft shops in the village or simply relax and soak up the wonderful atmosphere of this pretty village with thatched cottages and ponies, donkeys and cattle that wander the lanes.
For golfers, you can enjoy a round at Burley's scenic double nine hole course on the outskirts of the village. The New Forest Deer Safari at Burley Park offers a unique experience or just sit back and enjoy a horse drawn wagon ride around the lanes of Burley. It goes without saying that there are also endless opportunities for walkers and wildlife enthusiasts on the doorstep with miles of forest tracks and trails just waiting to be explored.
For those happy to venture a little further afield, there are a host of attractions within the New Forest to suit all ages and energy levels. Paultons Park is sure to be a hit with the little ones and Beaulieu Motor Museum is a great day out for the whole family. Exbury Gardens is also popular (particularly in the spring when ablaze with colour) or spend the day at Moors Valley Country Park. The wider area also has much appeal with the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline, Salisbury with its stunning cathedral, world famous Stonehenge, Portsmouth with its historic Dockyards and the Isle of Wight all easily accessible by car for a day trip out.
Whether you are looking for a family holiday, weekend away with friends or even a short walking break, any one of these three holiday cottages provides a relaxing retreat at any time of the year.
