About 'Wayside'

'Wayside' sleeps four guests in two bedrooms and is a modern, spacious extension to the owners' home that is self-contained and offers comfortable and stylish Four Star Gold self-catering accommodation.

Ideal for a family, a couple or friends this charming holiday home is perfect for an off-peak short break or longer holiday at any time of the year. Situated at the end of a short gravel track, 'Wayside' is adjacent to a bridleway and is a short walk to the nearby River Avon. There are also plenty of lovely forest walks to enjoy nearby.

'Wayside' is in the village of Godshill, in the New Forest National Park, close to the town of Fordingbridge. Salisbury, Southampton, Portsmouth and Bournemouth are all within easy reach, as are numerous attractions including Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park and many pretty New Forest villages just waiting to be explored.

The Sandy Balls Holiday Centre is just a two minute walk from 'Wayside' and guests staying with us will benefit from a family membership to the leisure centre giving free access to indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna and Jacuzzi. Discounts at the beauty therapy suite, restaurants and on retail sales at the cycle centre are also available.

The local pub is within easy walking distance (approximately seven minutes) with children's play area and beer garden overlooking the forest. There are also plenty of other places to eat out nearby whether you want a restaurant, country pub or a take-away to bring back home and enjoy whilst watching a film in front of the television.

Accommodation comprises:

  • Large kitchen/dining room fully fitted with large fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave.
  • Lounge with wall mounted LCD satellite television benefiting from Sky+ HD with Sky Sports, DVD player, CD player, DAB radio with iPod dock comfortable seating and modern electric fireplace. There are also double doors opening out onto the decking area.
  • Upstairs there are two bedrooms; one double bedroom and one that is a twin but could be configured as a king by arrangement. Both bedrooms have wall mounted LCD televisions and built in wardrobes providing lots of space for clothing.
  • Shower room with WC and wash basin located between the bedrooms.

Outside: 'Wayside' has its own private garden area with small child-friendly water feature which is ideal for barbeques. A large decked patio runs across its width with patio furniture and sun loungers provided for relaxation. There is a parking area dedicated to 'Wayside'.

Additional information: Bed linen and bathroom towels included. The property is non-smoking and unfortunately no pets. Free Wi-Fi internet access available for your laptop. Cot, stairgate and high chair available. No hidden extras - all services included in the tariff.
